Mila's mother Lynda added: "Kate is a mother, a wife, she is young, beautiful and she is facing her illness. It shows that cancer can affect anyone at any time. We wish her peace and a speedy recovery."
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Lynda supported Princess Kate Middleton by writing: "We send our love, support and well wishes to William, George, Charlotte and Louis, and wish Kate Middleton a speedy recovery, #YouAreNotAlone".
Lynda posted a photo of her daughter talking to Kate during their first meeting in May 2021 at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Kate and Mila struck up a "friendship" after the little one took part in the royal Hold Still photoshoot in 2020. At the time, amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Mila was seen in a photo separated from her family while undergoing chemotherapy.
Mila was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (blood cancer) when she was just 4 years old, according to The Mirror .

Lynda told reporters: "Kate's statement came as Mila was in remission. Mila turned to me and said she wanted to make a card for Kate. The Duchess has shown such compassion, care and support for Mila both during and after her treatment. So it's heartwarming to see her dealing with her own health challenges."
During her treatment, Mila and the Princess of Wales kept in touch by phone. In December 2021, she attended Kate Middleton's Christmas concert at Westminster Abbey.
On the occasion of the Princess of Wales' birthday in January 2022, Mila posted birthday wishes on X and she replied: "Thanks Mila!".
Lynda added to The Mirror : "Cancer is a club no one wants to join. We are so sad to hear she has joined the club. We wish her the best. We have nothing but admiration for Kate Middleton going public with her diagnosis."
