Thanh Lanh Valley Golf & Resort's 7,200-yard length, combined with cold, rainy, and windy weather, posed many challenges for the golfers of The Golfers Tournament 2025, due to limited visibility and difficult-to-control shots.
However, what happened on October 31 was truly impressive. After completing the first round with 74 strokes, golfer Ho Khac Luan was 3 strokes behind the two leading golfers, Nguyen Huu Quyet and Dinh Song Hai. But after the first 9 holes of the second round, with 2 birdies, Khac Luan reduced the gap with Huu Quyet to 1 stroke.
Competing in the previous group, Khac Luan birdied hole 11 to tie the score, but Huu Quyet maintained his lead with a successful birdie putt at hole 10. In the final stages of the day, cold rain wore down the golfers' stamina and Huu Quyet made unfortunate mistakes, getting a double bogey at hole 13 and a bogey at hole 16.
Meanwhile, except for the 3-putt bogey at hole 15, Ho Khac Luan controlled his shots well. Although he could not take advantage of the birdie opportunities, he scored 3 consecutive pars on the last holes to close the second round with 71 strokes (-1), then won the championship of The Golfers Tournament 2025 with a total score of +1.

“Today was a real challenge, both in terms of weather and mental state. But I just tried to focus on each shot, stay calm and stick to the original plan,” golfer Ho Khac Luan shared after winning the title.
With the championship of The Golfers Tournament 2025, the golfer born in 1983 has marked an important milestone in his personal career. This is the first time he has won a professional tournament in the VGA Development Tour system. Meanwhile, Nguyen Huu Quyet, the golfer who led the majority of the tournament, finished with a total score of +3 and accepted 3rd place, 1 stroke behind runner-up Joel Troy.
The Golfers Tournament 2025 has ended with great success. But the tournament is not just a sporting event, but also a place to demonstrate sportsmanship, social responsibility and vision for developing Vietnamese golf. Within the framework of the tournament, which is part of the VGA Development Tour system, gathering 69 professional and amateur golfers, the charity program "Birdie for Hue" was launched, attracting positive response from the golf community, donating to support the people of the Central region affected by natural disasters.
Also at the tournament, the seminar “From Fairway to Growth” received special attention from experts, managers, businesses, and investors at home and abroad. This is an important forum, affirming that golf is not only a sport, but also an economic, diplomatic and social development resource in the new era of integration of Vietnam.
In addition, the special exchange program called “From School to Green” is both an experiential activity and a strategic initiative, bringing golf – the pinnacle sport – closer to the generation of students. With the spirit of spreading the value of golf beyond the scope of professional competition, “From School to Green” becomes a bridge connecting sports, education and the aspiration for sustainable development.
