Given the developments, the Ministry of Health stated that it is closely monitoring the epidemic situation, continuously updating information from the WHO and the focal point for implementing the International Health Regulations. Surveillance at healthcare facilities and quarantine at border crossings have been strengthened to detect potential entry risks early. The Ministry of Health advises the public not to panic and to follow official information from health authorities and the WHO. Those returning from affected areas should self-monitor their health for 21 days. The Ministry of Health also advises people to avoid direct contact with individuals suspected of having Ebola, as well as blood, bodily fluids, or belongings of patients. In case of symptoms such as fever, headache, fatigue, vomiting, diarrhea, or bleeding after returning from an affected area, people should immediately go to a healthcare facility and proactively report their travel and contact history for timely guidance and treatment.
The Ministry of Health stated that it will continue to update the disease situation and implement appropriate prevention and control measures according to the actual circumstances.
