Williams Lee reveals Harry Kane's quote about Vietnamese football

According to Lee, Kane affirmed that the V-League has high intensity.

"I'm only 18 years old and my career is just starting, so listening to advice from those who have gone before me is very important. Both Harry Kane and Robbie Fowler are legends, so what they share really means a lot to me," Williams shared on the CA TP.HCM club's homepage.

Striker Williams Lee, born in 2007, is currently playing for CA TP.HCM on loan. The player revealed that he returned to his homeland to play after receiving advice from two English football legends, Harry Kane and Robbie Fowler.

According to the young striker, Kane and Fowler believe that V.League is a competitive environment, helping young players gain experience and develop themselves. "They said that this is a high-intensity tournament, where I can learn a lot to become more mature. From that analysis, I decided to return to Vietnam," Williams continued.

Joining Vietnamese football in the transfer window before the 2025/26 season, Lee initially played for The Cong Viettel and then moved to the Police team on loan. After 11 rounds, the young striker scored 1 goal. That was the goal in the match where CA TP.HCM lost 3-4 to Ninh Binh in round 11.

After training in the V.League environment, the striker with Vietnamese-English blood said he encountered many difficulties in the beginning because the intensity of competition and training in the V.League was very high. But that helped him develop faster. "I was impressed with the way the teams changed their state very quickly. As a striker, I like that because it helps me have more opportunities to score goals," he said.

In addition, Williams also had many compliments for coach Le Huynh Duc and captain Tien Linh. These are the people who helped him quickly integrate into life and Vietnamese football culture. "Coach Duc is a legend of Vietnamese football, I learned a lot from him. And Tien Linh always wholeheartedly helped me both in life and on the field," he expressed.

Finally, Williams Lee affirmed that the goal is to score as many goals as possible, contribute to the team's achievements and constantly improve himself. "I want to continue to improve every day. Vietnam is giving me a great opportunity to do that," he concluded.
