Duong Hoa Commune strengthens propaganda for self-management of security and order

To launch the movement "All people protect national security", Duong Hoa commune has had many very effective ways. Through many ways of doing things with the active participation of the entire political system and the high sense of responsibility of the people, security and order in Duong Hoa commune have always been maintained, creating a stable environment, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the locality.

Realizing the importance of propaganda work in ensuring security and order, immediately after the merger, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Duong Hoa commune directed the commune police force to develop a specific plan and promote extensive propaganda activities to each village and each household. Therefore, propaganda work was deployed in accordance with the characteristics of the locality, ensuring closeness, easy to understand, easy to remember and highly convincing.

Duong Hoa Commune Police propagate and remind people to raise their vigilance against information that causes disunity in the area.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Phi Cuong, Deputy Chief of Duong Hoa Commune Police, said: The commune police force coordinated with the Fatherland Front, Veterans, Youth Union... to organize many mobile propaganda sessions, thematic activities, social evils, fire prevention and fighting. In addition to direct propaganda, the commune also promoted propaganda through the loudspeaker system, social networks, and village bulletin boards. The content was compiled concisely, easy to understand, focusing on issues of concern to people such as being vigilant against scams via phone, social networks, preventing property theft, maintaining traffic order and safety, and not participating in social evils.

The highlight of the propaganda work of Duong Hoa commune is to combine propaganda with the construction and effective promotion of self-management models on security and order. These models operate effectively, becoming an extension of the police force in grasping the situation, promptly detecting and preventing incidents from arising right at the grassroots level.

Thanks to the close coordination between the self-management groups and the commune police force, many conflicts among the people have been successfully resolved, without any complaints or petitions being sent to higher levels. Since the beginning of the year, the commune has not had any serious crimes, and there are no complicated gathering places for security and order. Theft, gambling, and illegal drug use have decreased significantly compared to the same period last year. All villages maintain the "Night Patrol Team" model, regularly inspecting and reminding people to be vigilant, protect property, and prevent violations of the law.

Ms. Tran Thi Nho, a resident of Quang Long 8 village, Duong Hoa commune, said: “In the past, some people were indifferent to maintaining security and order, but thanks to regular and continuous propaganda work and the example set by party members, people are now more aware. When strangers appear or there are signs of violations, people proactively report immediately to the self-management group or the commune police. Thanks to that, the village has not had any complicated incidents for many years.”

Along with maintaining self-management models, Duong Hoa commune also promotes the role of village chiefs and prestigious people in the community in disseminating the law to the people. These are important factors, "extended arms" in propagating and mobilizing people to comply with the Party's policies and the State's laws, especially in preventing and fighting all kinds of crimes. They are also an important bridge to help the commune police force grasp the thoughts and aspirations of the people, promptly solving problems arising at the grassroots level.

Duong Hoa commune police also reminded people to participate in traffic safety.

“Propaganda on security and order is only truly effective when people directly participate. We always identify people as the center of the self-management movement, the “eyes and ears” of the police force. When each person knows how to protect themselves and manage their community, security and order at the grassroots level will be maintained in a sustainable way,” added Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Phi Cuong.

In the coming time, Duong Hoa commune will continue to promote the work of self-management of security and order in conjunction with the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas". The commune will increase the application of information technology in receiving and handling people's feedback, promote the effectiveness of the security camera surveillance system, and at the same time maintain the core force of self-management teams and mediation teams.
