Gia Lam Commune, Hanoi: Continuing to innovate, demonstrating the local government's care and concern for the people

Reporting to the Supervisory Delegation, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Gia Lam Commune, Nguyen Viet Ha, said that after being established on July 1, 2025, the commune will have a total area of 25.72 square kilometers, 36 villages and residential groups, and a population of 102,000 people.

Carrying out the local political tasks, up to now, the commune has completed 10/10 targets assigned by the city, 11/11 targets assigned by the People's Council, affirming the effectiveness of socio-economic management in the first year of model conversion. The commune Party Committee completed 100% of the targets, goals, and tasks for 2025 according to the Resolution of the Commune Party Congress, the target of admitting party members exceeded the plan (37/35 new party members).

Gia Lam commune has a strong position at the eastern gateway of the capital, located along Highway 5, near the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway, near major bridges across the Red River and important radial axes (Thanh Tri bridge, Vinh Tuy bridge), with outstanding advantages for developing logistics, warehousing, inter-regional trade and services; has the strength of transiting goods between Hanoi and the northeastern and northern coastal provinces; its location adjacent to Hung Yen province and new development axes of Hanoi helps Gia Lam become an important growth pole in the strategy of expanding urban space to the East.

Regarding socio -economic development: Budget revenue in the commune is estimated at 129.6 billion VND, equal to 183.2% of the city and commune budget estimate; disbursement for the whole year is estimated at 99.9% (449.4/449.8 billion VND); 10,812 records were collected to serve the standardization of land data in the whole commune.

Accumulated from July 1, 2025, the commune received 13,426 records, resolved 13,377, of which 10,601 were online; the commune established 36 community digital transformation teams, deployed 3 "Digital Education for All" points, supported people to install VNeID, use digital signatures; reviewed 427 administrative procedures, proposed to shorten 24 procedures... The Front and socio-political organizations effectively implemented emulation movements, social security...

At the working session, members of the city's Supervisory Delegation answered and gave opinions on the following issues: Digital transformation; administrative procedures; disbursement of public investment capital; organization, human resources, job positions; site clearance; zoning planning; security and order; food safety; There are still some projects in the commune that are slow to be implemented, which need to be urged by the city's departments and branches to speed up the progress of investors, or advise the city to consider terminating them...

At the working session, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Vu Thu Ha highly appreciated Gia Lam commune's implementation of digital transformation in the community; at the same time, requested the commune to continue to do well in implementing digital transformation in management towards building a smart commune; exploit surplus assets in accordance with the local development orientation; have a plan to implement activities from before Christmas to Lunar New Year, this is the first Tet of the people when implementing two-level local government, so the locality needs to have innovation, clearly showing the care and attention of the local government for the people; receive opinions of the members of the delegation and complete the report early, send to the Supervisory Delegation

Regarding the implementation of tasks in 2026, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha suggested that Gia Lam commune needs to prepare a drastic, clear and detailed scenario, closely following the 7 Resolutions of the Central Committee and the direction of the city, and must proactively implement them immediately to achieve the best results.
