Hoa Vang Commune signs cooperation agreement to pay social welfare benefits through bank accounts.

DNO - On the afternoon of January 21st, the People's Committee of Hoa Vang commune signed a cooperation agreement with the Vietnam Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (Agribank), Hoa Vang South Da Nang Branch, to implement the payment of social welfare allowances through bank accounts.

According to the agreement, the bank commits to reducing and waiving 100% of all related fees in the first year, including: account opening fees, account maintenance fees, withdrawal fees, transfer fees, and other basic transaction fees as stipulated.

At the same time, bank staff guide and support people in using their accounts safely and conveniently.

The People's Committee of Hoa Vang commune has assigned local security teams and village heads to assist in transactions with individuals in need of help.

The signing aims to innovate the method of paying social security benefits; move towards cashless payments; and create favorable conditions for people, especially vulnerable groups.

Currently, Hoa Vang commune has over 2,000 beneficiaries of social welfare, including 423 people who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution and 1,607 social assistance recipients.

After two months of implementing the social security account program, 1,593 people have opened and switched to using social security accounts, reaching a rate of 78.5%.
