
Hung Son Commune Party Secretary Nguyen An said that as of 7:40 p.m. the same day, three people suspected of being buried in the landslide had still not been contacted. The commune government and functional forces are making efforts to search and check the area where the incident occurred to quickly determine the whereabouts of the victims. In order to ensure the safety of the people, the locality has organized the evacuation of 171 households with 664 people in two villages out of the danger zone that night. Of which, 87 households with 350 people in H'Juh village were evacuated to Cha'Lang village; 84 households with 314 people in G'Lao village were taken to Ga Ry Primary School and Ch'Lang village for temporary shelter.
On the same afternoon of November 14, the Da Nang City Military Command dispatched 103 officers and soldiers to the scene to coordinate with local forces to carry out search and recovery work. Two drones and sniffer dogs were mobilized to assist in observing and zoning areas suspected of having victims, especially in steep terrain and areas at risk of continued landslides.
A forward command post was established at the scene to direct all search and rescue operations, while ensuring the highest safety for the participating forces. The Hung Son commune government and functional units continued to be on duty throughout the night, monitoring geological and weather developments to proactively respond and minimize damage to the people.
