Kim Boi Commune exploits potential for tourism development and ecological urban areas

Kim Boi Commune (Kim Boi District, former Hoa Binh Province) was formed on the basis of merging Bo Town, Kim Boi Commune and Vinh Dong Commune. With an area of over 64km2 and a population of nearly 36,000 people, this is an important administrative, economic and cultural center of the former Kim Boi District. In particular, Kim Boi stands out with its natural landscape advantages, unique Muong culture and precious mineral water resources - considered as "white gold" with health value, an attractive destination for developing resort tourism, ecological urban areas associated with national identity.

Kim Boi Commune Party Committee currently has 72 subordinate Party cells with more than 2,200 Party members. In recent years, the commune has effectively implemented many solutions to build the Party, consolidate the political system and improve leadership and management capacity. The work of planning and training cadres has been carried out systematically and promptly to meet development requirements. The assessment of the quality of Party organizations and Party members is linked to work products, strengthening the mechanism of direct dialogue with the people, thereby removing difficulties and creating consensus in implementing political tasks.

The Party Committee of the commune clearly identified the key task of building Kim Boi to meet ward-level criteria in the next 5 years. To realize this goal, the Party Committee has focused on improving the quality of leadership and management; mobilizing resources to develop socio -economic infrastructure; implementing a series of essential projects such as expanding Route 12B, building the Boi River embankment, opening inter-commune roads, building new schools, sidewalks with trees, etc.

Taking advantage of mineral water resources and natural landscapes, Kim Boi focuses on developing eco- tourism and resorts associated with urbanization. The Party Committee and the commune government have proactively improved the investment environment, closely coordinated with sectors and localities to remove difficulties in terms of land and legal procedures, creating favorable conditions for investors.

Currently, Kim Boi commune has attracted 21 non-budget projects with a total registered capital of over VND8,000 billion, of which 18 projects are in the fields of tourism, trade, agriculture and 3 urban development projects. High-end resorts such as Mandala Retreats, Yasumi Onsen Resort, Venus Resort, An Lac Eco Farm have contributed to clearly defining the strategy of developing Kim Boi into a high-quality destination.

In particular, the project of the Eco-urban Complex, high-class entertainment and Cuoi Ha cable car system is a major breakthrough, creating a spillover effect, attracting more investment resources to the locality.

By 2025, the commune will have about 174 enterprises, 11 cooperatives, and more than 500 business households in operation, showing the dynamism of the local economy. Average income per capita will reach 63.5 million VND/year; the poverty rate will decrease to 4.5%.

Along with economic development, Kim Boi commune pays special attention to preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Muong ethnic group. Traditional festivals such as the Muong Dong Festival and Mo Muong cultural heritage are restored and linked with tourism development, creating cultural highlights for this land. The fields of education, health care, and social security are taken care of carefully. Facilities are upgraded; the school system is invested; social security policies and support for the poor and disadvantaged are fully implemented.

Kim Boi Commune Party Secretary Bui Van Diep said: Inheriting the achievements, the cadres and people of Kim Boi commune are unanimously competing to successfully implement the Party's resolutions, promote digital transformation, and effectively exploit local potential advantages. The goal is to develop Kim Boi in the direction of sustainable services and tourism by 2030, becoming a "Quality and Peaceful Destination", with a clean living environment, clean agricultural products, and a unique cultural ecosystem.

To create a breakthrough in the coming period, Kim Boi is actively coordinating with departments, branches and units to promote administrative reform, providing maximum support for businesses to implement strategic projects. A number of key traffic projects such as: Hoa Binh - Hanoi - Son La regional connection road, Kim Boi Mineral Spring tourist area connection road, upgrading waste treatment area... are being focused on, opening up new development space for the locality, towards urban standards, comprehensive development on the basis of cultural preservation and sustainable development, promising to become a unique tourism and service center of the region in the near future.
