Krong Ana commune strives to help people escape poverty

From breeding cows, preferential loans to housing support and clean water projects, hundreds of households have had more conditions to develop their economy , stabilize their lives, and contribute to changing the face of rural areas and ethnic minority areas.

To promote socio-economic development and reduce poverty, the commune has effectively utilized and integrated capital from national target programs, creating livelihoods for people such as opening vocational training classes on cultivation and animal husbandry...

The commune has invested in many projects with a total cost of 1.6 billion VND from sources: urban beautification, provincial budget, National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2030 period (Program 1719), poverty reduction and socialization. The irrigation system has been solidified and regularly upgraded, effectively serving production, people's lives and natural disaster prevention. Traffic roads have been completed, connecting conveniently with neighboring areas, meeting the requirements of socio-economic development...

The cow breeding model helps people in Krong Ana commune escape poverty sustainably.

In particular, in the past 5 years, the whole commune has eliminated 159 temporary and dilapidated houses, repaired 44 houses with a total cost of more than 12.8 billion VND, of which the source mobilized from the people is more than 2.9 billion VND. The commune has implemented 10 models and projects to support production development, including 9 models of breeding cows, 1 model of raising Bach Thao crossbred goats with 148 participating households (63 poor households, 72 near-poor households, 13 households that have just escaped poverty), with a total cost of 5.049 billion VND. The models have achieved positive results and have a high spread. The number of cows has increased rapidly, many households have expanded their livestock, increased their income, and created jobs for family members. Thanks to that, many households have escaped poverty, near-poor households, and become rich.

A typical example is Ms. H'Juôr Khang's family in Trap village, focusing on growing rice, growing coffee... thanks to capital support from projects. Thanks to that, the economy has developed day by day, her family has not only escaped poverty but also risen to become rich legitimately. Or like the case of Ms. Tran Thi Nguyen in Quang Dien village 4, who used to be a near-poor household, thanks to timely support, her family has focused on economic development and has escaped the near-poverty status of the village.

Many types of agricultural products grown by people in Krong Ana commune have high productivity, bringing about sustainable poverty reduction.

Through many ways to support sustainable poverty reduction, up to now, the lives of people in the commune, especially ethnic minorities, have been significantly improved. The results of the review at the end of 2025 show that the rate of poor and near-poor households in the whole commune has decreased, currently the rate of poor households is 1.7%, near-poor households is 4.21%. According to the Head of the Economic Department of Krong Ana Commune, Nguyen Thi Tinh, the commune conducts a review of poor and near-poor households... according to the plan of the Provincial People's Committee in a transparent, clear, and targeted manner. This helps to promptly detect cases at risk of falling back into poverty, ensuring that policies reach the right people, the right needs, and no one is left behind.

Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Krong Ana commune Nguyen Minh Chi affirmed: In order to achieve high results in poverty reduction, striving to reduce the rate of poor households according to the multidimensional poverty standard by 2030 to below 0.74%, in the coming time, the commune will continue to synchronously implement solutions, focusing on effectively deploying resources from national target programs to support production, residential land, housing for poor households and ethnic minorities; solve employment, increase workers' income, strive for an increasingly high rate of trained workers. At the same time, promote the role of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations in propagating and mobilizing people to raise their awareness of self-awareness, positivity, and initiative in economic development, avoid waiting and relying on the government... contributing to helping people stabilize their lives and escape poverty sustainably.
