Krông Búk Commune: Bustling with "Joyful Villages - Singing Villages"

On November 14th, the People's Committee of Krông Búk commune organized the "Village Fun - Village Singing" program to create a cultural playground for ethnic minority people in the area.

This is an exchange activity between ethnic minority villages in the locality to share experiences in preserving and promoting cultural identity; contributing to improving the spiritual life of the people and strengthening national unity in implementing the "All People Unite to Build a Culturally Rich Life" movement in the commune.

From early afternoon, the event area became bustling as people in traditional costumes gathered in large numbers; laughter, chatter, the sound of gongs testing musical instruments, and enthusiastic cheers blended together, creating a joyful atmosphere for a major community festival.

Participating in the program were artisans, actors, and athletes from the villages of Mùi 1, Mùi 2, Mùi 3, Dhía 1, and Dhía 2, divided into two teams to compete in a variety of activities across two sections: folk games and traditional folk arts and culture.

The folk games competition took place in the afternoon. Teams competed in stick pushing, stilt running, sack racing, and tug-of-war. Besides creating a joyful atmosphere, the games also helped develop agility and dexterity, demonstrating collective strength and the spirit of community solidarity. In particular, many amateur athletes from the villages left a strong impression with their fierce yet laughter-filled competitions.

The evening featured a folk art and traditional performing arts competition with activities including: gong performance; fast basket weaving; call-and-response singing accompanied by traditional musical instruments; corn picking; folk dance accompanied by gongs or traditional musical instruments; fast rice pounding; and a competition for brewing the best rice wine. Each performance was meticulously prepared, combining skill, creativity, and teamwork.

In addition, folk songs and dances attracted enthusiastic attention and applause from a large audience. Through each melody, dance rhythm, and colorful traditional costume, the program conveyed a profound message about love for the homeland, the country, its people, and the highlands of Dak Lak .

At the end of the program, the Organizing Committee awarded 11 first prizes and 11 second prizes for the folk games competition; and 7 first prizes and 7 second prizes for the folk arts competition.

The program has become a meaningful cultural festival, contributing to the preservation of traditional values ​​and creating an atmosphere of unity and solidarity among the ethnic communities in Krông Búk commune.
