At 4:35 a.m. the same day, a pregnant woman named Coor Hoa from La Eê commune gave birth naturally to a baby girl weighing about 3kg. However, at 6:00 a.m., the pregnant woman had a condition of placental abruption, which posed a risk of obstetric complications and required immediate emergency care.
Upon receiving the news, Doctor Mai Tan Tay, La Ee Border Guard Station, and the on-duty team from the combined military-civilian medical station of the commune quickly arrived to examine and decided to immediately transfer the patient to Cha Val Regional General Clinic.
However, the transfer of the pregnant woman encountered a major obstacle because the road to La Êê, especially the Dum stream section, was seriously eroded, with rocks and soil covering the entire road surface, making it impossible for the ambulance to reach the pregnant woman's house.
Faced with the emergency, the La Êê commune authorities organized 6 border guards, soldiers, and militia to carry a stretcher across many landslides to take the pregnant woman to the Cha Val General Clinic for treatment. Here, the pregnant woman, Coor Hoa, received timely first aid, her health was stable, and she continued to be monitored at a higher level.
