Mau A commune launches road construction campaign to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

To welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party, on January 18th, Mau A commune launched a campaign to build rural roads in 2026 with the theme "The Spring Road".

The launching ceremony is not only an activity to celebrate a major national event and create a vibrant atmosphere of emulation among all strata of the people, but also a concrete implementation of Resolution No. 22/2025 of the Lao Cai Provincial People's Council on policies to support the construction of rural roads in the period 2026 - 2030.

At the same time, it meets the urgent needs and aspirations of the people in building rural roads to have new, spacious, clean and beautiful roads to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Horse.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, Mau A commune mobilized its forces to build roads in Dong Tam, Hong Ha, and Lang Quach villages, with a total length of nearly 1 km.

Following the principle of the State providing materials to the construction site while the people contribute labor, immediately after the launching ceremony, the people in the commune continued to register to complete nearly 12 km of rural roads before the Lunar New Year, with road widths ranging from 3m to 6m; striving to have over 50 km of rural roads solidified throughout the commune by 2026.

Leaders of Mau A commune, along with a large number of local people, participated in the reinforcement of roads in Dong Tam, Hong Ha, and Lang Quach villages.

The launch of the rural road construction project in the area is also an opportunity for the people in the commune to play a leading role according to the motto "The State and the People work together," demonstrating their aspiration to improve, their proactive spirit, and their high level of consensus with the policies of the Party and the State, so as to bring the Resolution into life from the very first days and months of 2026.

With the collective efforts of the people, during the period 2020-2025, Mau A commune renovated, paved, and upgraded approximately 62.4 km of rural roads, facilitating safe travel and trade for the people, while simultaneously developing transportation in a modern and integrated manner, beautifying the rural landscape, and promoting socio -economic development in the locality.

Inspired by the "Spring Roads" initiative, in the period 2026-2030, Mau A commune aims to build and expand 130 km of roads to meet standards, focusing on widening approximately 90 km of existing narrow roads to ensure a minimum road width of 3.5 m, and reinforcing over 408 km of drainage ditches.
