Prosperity thanks to new rural areas
Nam Cua Viet commune was established on the basis of merging 3 communes: Trieu Trach, Trieu Phuoc, Trieu Tan (old). With a large area and much room for development, Nam Cua Viet commune is making efforts to maintain the criteria of NTM, while promoting the construction of an advanced NTM commune. Nam Cua Viet commune advocates that NTM construction must be closely linked with socio -economic development, agricultural restructuring, improving people's lives and completing infrastructure. All of them put people at the center, the subject and driving force of the development process. Thanks to that approach, Nam Cua Viet commune's economy has continuously grown and in just 9 months of 2025, the total value of products of all industries reached 1,219.9 billion VND; average income per capita in 2025 is estimated at 48.7 million VND.
Resource mobilization has been actively implemented, especially socialized resources; State-supported capital sources to build infrastructure to serve people's lives and promote production and business development have been effectively used; traffic infrastructure has been regularly upgraded and expanded. The system of dykes, embankments, and canals has been repaired to serve agricultural production for people. The system of schools, health stations, commune cultural centers, community activity houses in villages, grassroots cultural institutions, etc. have been built, upgraded, and effectively used. The capital for basic construction in 2025 managed by the commune is 12,961 billion VND, of which 7,174 billion VND has been disbursed, reaching a rate of 55.4%.

Specifically, up to now, 28.1km of commune roads in Nam Cua Viet commune have been asphalted; 100% of village and inter-village roads have been hardened. The locality has urgently repaired and repaired the embankment to prevent erosion through Ha Loc village; repaired landslides in the dike system of Con Nong, Duong Xuan Cooperative; natural disaster prevention works from National Highway 49C to Linh An village; annually invested in and built canals and intra-field roads in cooperatives from the capital source of Decree No. 62/2019/ND-CP... Notably, Nam Cua Viet commune has effectively implemented the OCOP program with typical products such as Hong Son anchovy cakes and Hoai Hoang sausages. Some cooperatives are certified to produce rice according to VietGAP standards, contributing to increasing the value of agricultural products and income for people. Key products such as shrimp, crab, fish, seaweed, black beans, and watermelon are supported in promotion, consumption connection, and step-by-step brand building.
Strive to achieve advanced new rural commune status before 2030
To achieve the goal of meeting the standards of an advanced new-style rural commune by 2030, Nam Cua Viet commune will implement many key solutions. Specifically, in terms of industrial development, the commune will continue to develop new industries and occupations in line with the local potential and strengths; effectively implement policies to support industrial promotion. In terms of trade and service development, the commune will diversify service types, create favorable conditions to encourage the expansion of trade and service sectors associated with local advantages; promote the application of e-commerce and digital transformation in trade development; invest in building new Bo Ban market and upgrading markets in the area.
Regarding tourism , the locality focuses on mobilizing resources to invest in Bac Phuoc eco-tourism associated with agricultural experiences and village culture; researching and developing sea tourism in village 9 in an environmentally friendly direction.
Regarding agriculture, Nam Cua Viet commune continues to restructure the agricultural sector towards increasing added value, sustainable development associated with the market; replicating effective production models; encouraging farmers to produce according to VietGAP standards; promoting joint ventures, production-consumption linkages and expanding markets for agricultural products. Creating favorable conditions, encouraging businesses and economic sectors to invest in the agricultural sector as well as linking with cooperatives to build OCOP products, forming linkage chains and consuming products. In particular, the commune will well implement policies on agriculture and rural areas such as: Focusing resources on infrastructure investment; promoting concentrated commodity production, clean, organic and circular agriculture; enhancing digital transformation in agriculture.
In the fisheries sector, the locality focuses on applying technical advances, diversifying fishing activities suitable for nearshore, midshore and offshore fishing grounds; increasing the time spent at sea and the efficiency of fishing. Linking fishing activities with environmental protection and aquatic resources protection; strictly implementing regulations on combating illegal fishing. Encouraging fishermen to invest in upgrading ships, boats, fishing gears, and equipping modern equipment to improve fishing efficiency. Focusing on reviewing aquaculture planning; continuing to develop 2-3-phase shrimp farming models in a sustainable direction; focusing on investing in developing key farming species, biosafety farming, and environmental protection in aquaculture management.
Head of the Economic Department of Nam Cua Viet Commune, Dang Huy Bang, said that in the coming time, the commune will focus on promoting resources, taking advantage of support from the State, organizations, individuals and mobilizing contributions from the people to build infrastructure; mobilizing people to donate land to expand rural roads. Continuously upgrading educational and medical facilities as well as prioritizing investment in welfare works, people's livelihoods and clean water systems to serve people's lives. Continue to effectively implement the national target program on building new rural areas, associated with environmental protection and adaptation to climate change. Strive to make Nam Cua Viet commune an advanced new rural commune before 2030.
