Nhon Chau commune inaugurates a cluster of mascots to welcome the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.

(GLO) - On the afternoon of February 13th, the People's Committee of Nhon Chau commune solemnly held the inauguration ceremony for the decorative structures and mascot cluster welcoming the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, creating a vibrant highlight for the Tet celebration space of the island commune's residents.

The highlight is the majestic trio of horses, predominantly in yellow and brown, galloping powerfully, symbolizing the resilience, upward striving, and aspirations for development of the locality in the new year.

Alongside this is the image of a family of anthropomorphic, cartoon horses dressed in traditional ao dai (Vietnamese long dress), with radiant smiles, conveying a message of togetherness, prosperity, and a friendly, hospitable spirit.

According to Mr. Duong Hiep Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nhon Chau commune, the project not only contributes to creating a fresh new look for the locality during Tet but is also expected to become a check-in point attracting locals and tourists when visiting the pearl island of Cu Lao Xanh.
