Attending the conference were: Comrade Nguyen Hop Tien - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Comrade Nguyen Dinh Sy - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee; comrades in the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the People's Council, the leaders of the People's Committee, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune; and comrades leaders of departments, branches, and mass organizations of the commune who are members of the Steering Committee and the Election Committee of the commune.

Overview of the Conference
At the conference, Comrade Tran Thi Thu Hang - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune - reported on the results of the election work implementation up to January 15, 2026.
Accordingly, the implementation of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and the election of deputies to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term in Phu Nghia commune was carried out on schedule, following the correct procedures and regulations as prescribed by law and the set plan. Leadership and direction were implemented uniformly and synchronously; coordination between the commune's election committee and agencies, departments, and organizations was strengthened and effectively utilized. The political security and social order in the commune remained basically stable, with no complex issues related to the election arising.

The commune's election committee established three subcommittees, a general support team, and an information technology support team to serve the election process. The Standing Committee of the Commune People's Council, in coordination with the Commune People's Committee and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, agreed on the proposed structure, composition, and number of candidates for the Commune People's Council, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and suitability to the local characteristics and actual situation. The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune held the first consultative meeting within the stipulated timeframe.
The commune's election committee, in coordination with the commune's People's Committee, directed the commune's police and villages to cooperate in reviewing the population, updating population changes, and preparing the voter list. The voter list preparation process was carried out correctly, ensuring that all information was complete as required by law.

The People's Committee of Phu Nghia commune has announced 6 electoral units, the list of electoral units, and the number of representatives to be elected in each electoral unit for the commune People's Council in accordance with the law. At the same time, it has established 6 Election Committees for the Phu Nghia commune People's Council corresponding to the electoral units as prescribed; and established 36 Polling Stations corresponding to 36 polling areas.
Regarding facilities, equipment, means, and venues for organizing conferences related to the election and election day, the People's Committee of the commune directs relevant departments to prepare and ensure that the requirements for each stage of the election are met.

Information and propaganda work regarding the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term has been implemented in diverse forms and content through the commune's broadcasting system; meetings, branch meetings, and activities of political and social organizations; integration into village and residential area meetings; on the commune's electronic information website and official social media platforms of the commune, villages, and residential areas.
Besides the achievements, the implementation of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term in the commune still has some limitations such as: Coordination among some relevant departments and units is not close and synchronized, sometimes lacking proactiveness in exchanging information and agreeing on implementation plans, leading to some tasks not meeting the requirements and deadlines set.
During the discussion at the Conference, seven members of the Steering Committee and the Commune Election Committee offered their opinions. These opinions clarified issues related to the preparation and implementation of election tasks, such as: preparing facilities, propaganda, and visual decoration; reviewing and compiling voter lists, and plans for posting voter lists; consultation work, organizing meetings with voters, and gathering opinions from voters in their residential areas; handling complaints and denunciations related to the election; and ensuring security and order on election day…

In his concluding remarks at the conference, Comrade Trinh Tien Tuong - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of the commune, Head of the Steering Committee, and Chairman of the Commune Election Committee - acknowledged and highly appreciated the proactive implementation of election-related tasks by the commune's agencies and departments in the past period. He also summarized the work that the Steering Committee and the Commune Election Committee had carried out recently.

Comrade Trinh Tien Tuong delivered the concluding remarks at the Conference.
Based on the progress of the election and the tasks to be carried out from now until the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term (March 15, 2026), the Head of the Steering Committee and Chairman of the Commune Election Committee assigned specific tasks to each agency and department of the commune. The tasks to be focused on are: Completing and posting the voter list at the People's Committee headquarters and polling stations no later than February 3, 2026; Conducting training on election procedures for deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term for election officials; Receiving applications for candidates for the Commune People's Council until 5 PM on February 1, 2026. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune will organize the second and third consultative meetings according to the time stipulated in the Election Law; prepare all necessary ballot papers and other required documents and publications before February 26, 2026; organize voter outreach and election campaigning meetings effectively: organize meetings between candidates and voters; continue to promote widespread information and propaganda among the people about the election, especially important milestones; strengthen inspection and supervision; proactively monitor the situation and promptly handle emerging issues, ensuring political security and social order in the area before, during, and after the election day on March 15, 2026.
