Trung Khanh Vinh Commune mobilizes forces to respond to storm No. 15

On November 26, Ms. Cao Thi Ngoc Thanh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Trung Khanh Vinh commune said that in order to respond to storm No. 15, the commune held a meeting and requested all cadres, party members, civil servants, and members of the Commune Civil Defense Command to fully promote their roles and responsibilities in storm prevention and control work.

The functional forces of Trung Khanh Vinh commune blocked and warned at the Song Cho area to ensure people's safety during the recent flood.

According to Ms. Thanh, after the recent flood, Trung Khanh Vinh commune was divided into 3 areas. Therefore, the locality proactively assigned members of the Commune Civil Defense Command to be in charge of 3 areas, with the Chairman of the Commune People's Committee and 2 Vice Chairmen of the Commune People's Committee, each in charge of commanding 1 area. Each area established teams: support team, rapid response team, logistics team, damage inventory team to share work and proactively respond.

At the same time, the commune has increased human resources from youth, militia forces; village elders, village chiefs, prestigious people, religious dignitaries in the commune to propagate and mobilize ethnic minorities to participate in responding to storm No. 15.

The Commune People's Committee has assigned the Economic Department (Standing Office of the Commune Civil Defense Command) to fully prepare facilities, materials, means and reserve goods to be ready to respond when situations arise; study the distribution of life jackets, life buoys, and ropes to vulnerable and flooded areas to address immediate needs when the storm makes landfall. The Commune People's Committee has assigned the Department of Culture and Society to ensure the continuous operation of the public address system; areas with damaged loudspeakers or power outages must organize the use of loudspeakers to provide timely information; review and update the flood situation to notify people to evacuate in time when necessary; direct schools to develop storm prevention and control plans, arrange 24/24 hour duty teams; coordinate to support the Commune People's Committee in emergency situations.

The commune police assigned forces to be on duty 24/24 hours in key areas of each village, and sent 30 members of the grassroots security and order team to participate in storm response. The commune's Civil Defense Command assigned 100% of the militia force to be on duty 24/24 hours; each village assigned 5 militiamen to participate in the rapid response team...
