Immediately after the ancestral worship ceremony, many families brought their children and grandchildren to offer incense at the Bui Bang Doan Memorial Area, dedicated to Bui Bang Doan, the former head of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and an outstanding son of the homeland.

According to reports, from New Year's Eve to noon on the first day of the new year alone, more than 1,000 people visited the Bui Bang Doan Memorial Area to offer incense and pay respects. Fragrant incense sticks were offered in a solemn atmosphere, with each person expressing their wish for a peaceful and prosperous new year.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Cao Hong shared: “At the beginning of the year, we always come here to commemorate Mr. Bui Bang Doan. Not only do we pray for a peaceful new year, but we also educate our children and grandchildren about the tradition of patriotism, integrity, and dedication to the people and the country. The atmosphere here is very solemn yet intimate and warm.”

The spring atmosphere is not only present at the memorial site, but also at other historical sites in the area, such as Trung Thinh Temple and Ba Thon Pagoda. People visit the temples and shrines in an orderly and civilized manner; many families take the opportunity to capture memorable moments of the new year in the brightly decorated spaces.
A new feature this Tet holiday is that historical sites and public recreational areas have been renovated to be clean and beautiful; spring-themed displays and banners introducing local historical traditions are arranged harmoniously, creating a unique cultural space. Beyond being places to pray for good fortune at the beginning of the year, these destinations have also become spaces for traditional education, helping the younger generation better understand the history of their homeland.

According to Nguyen Chi Vien, Secretary of the Party Committee of Ung Thien commune, the locality has developed a plan to ensure security, traffic safety, and fire prevention and control at crowded locations; at the same time, it has strengthened the on-duty forces during the peak days of Tet. "We have determined that organizing activities at the beginning of the year must ensure safety and civility, creating a favorable environment for people to celebrate Tet in a peaceful atmosphere," emphasized Nguyen Chi Vien, Secretary of the Party Committee of Ung Thien commune.
According to Do Nang Binh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ung Thien commune, environmental sanitation is regularly maintained; waste is collected promptly throughout the day; and main roads and historical sites are clean and unobstructed. Police and militia forces are on duty 24/7, preventing overcrowding and maintaining public order. The awareness of the people in preserving the common landscape has significantly improved.

The first day of the Lunar New Year is not only the beginning of a new year, but also an occasion for every resident of Ung Thien to reflect on their roots and express their hopes for a peaceful, prosperous, and thriving Year of the Horse.
