Xuan Bac Commune joins hands to support people in flood-hit areas

(DN) - The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Xuan Bac commune said that from November 24 to the morning of November 27, the locality launched a movement to support people who suffered heavy losses due to storms and floods.

Many people, businesses, religious organizations, and students in Xuan Bac commune joined hands to support people affected by floods.

After three days of implementation, the commune has mobilized nearly 230 million VND, including cash and many essential necessities, to promptly send to localities facing difficulties.

Ms. Vo Thi Nhung, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Xuan Bac commune, said that right after the launching ceremony, the program received positive responses from cadres, soldiers, people, businesses, religious organizations, and students in the area. The contributions demonstrated the spirit of solidarity and "sharing food and clothes" and "helping each other" of the community.

Xuan Bac commune police force received and gathered necessities donated by local people to support flood victims.

Responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Xuan Bac commune continues to call on cadres, soldiers, people and organizations and businesses in the area to join hands to contribute materially and spiritually. This is an important source of motivation to help people in areas affected by storms and floods to soon overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.
