On the morning of January 20, the Party Committee, government and people of Yen Lam commune (Yen Mo district) held a ceremony to receive the Certificate of meeting the model new rural standards in 2023.

Immediately after achieving the advanced NTM standard in 2021, Yen Lam commune continued to maintain and improve the quality of the criteria, striving to build a model NTM commune. As a result, more than 309 billion VND was mobilized to implement the program, of which people contributed over 80 billion VND, accounting for nearly 30% of the resources.
Yen Lam commune meets the model NTM standard with the most prominent field being "Other production", including: Trade, services, small-scale industry, craft villages, and occupations.
Accordingly, currently in Yen Lam commune, there are 2,700 people working in 4 trading and service companies, 4/6 sedge craft villages, hundreds of construction teams, 12 households producing unburnt bricks and about 100 households and groups providing mechanical processing services, manufacturing, processing civil wooden furniture, milling, sewing...
In 2022, revenue from "Other production" was 638 billion VND, accounting for 68.6% of the commune's economic proportion, 66% of income, an increase of nearly 6% compared to 2021.
In 2023, the estimated revenue from trade, services, small-scale industry, and craft villages is 750 billion VND. The average income per capita of the commune reached 75.16 million VND/year, nearly 18 million VND higher than in 2021; the rate of poor and near-poor households decreased to 0.88%; the number of households using clean water according to standards reached 100% (2,568 households); the commune had no illegal mass complaints; crimes and social evils decreased every year, no serious crimes occurred; Phu Sa village achieved the smart village standard according to the criteria...
Congratulating and acknowledging the achievements of the Party Committee, government and people of Yen Lam commune, comrade Dang Thai Son, Chairman of the District People's Committee emphasized: Not satisfied with the results achieved, like Yen Lam, localities in the district need to further promote solutions to improve the quality of life of the people; focus on propaganda work, raise awareness, promote the proactive, creative and positive spirit of the people; the self-management role of the community in building new rural areas with the motto "The whole people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas".
Focus on economic development in the following areas: industry, handicrafts, service business, occupations, and craft villages; strive to have more craft villages recognized as provincial-level craft villages.
Continue to pay attention to directing the maintenance of planting and caring for trees and flowers on the roads, protecting the green-clean-beautiful environment.
Maintain political security, social order and safety, pay attention to developing education, culture, arts, and mass sports; well implement village and hamlet conventions, enhance the spirit of great national unity...
With the achieved results, Yen Lam commune was recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a model new rural commune in 2023; the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district supported the commune with 500 million VND; many collectives and individuals were commended for their outstanding achievements in the model new rural construction movement.
