If before, Mr. Le Van Vinh (Krong Pac commune) was always "busy from head to toe" with 3 hectares of durian, now he only needs to manage and monitor the health of the garden through the phone screen. Mr. Vinh described: Instead of having to constantly check the whole garden, now he just needs to go to the app to grasp the situation of the whole garden. All care activities are systematically recorded, from spraying, fertilizing, to counting the yield of each tree, all data is updated in the "history" of each durian tree. The application of digital technology to cultivation makes garden management scientific and transparent. The quality of durian is certified by a QR code hanging on each tree trunk, consumers and partners can trace the entire life cycle of the product.
According to Mr. Le Van Vinh, this is not a far-fetched choice but an inevitable trend. As the market increasingly demands high origin, a product with a clear "history" will be a great advantage. Although the immediate benefits cannot be measured, it is an investment for the future, making the production process transparent will increase the value of durian.
Mr. Le Van Vinh's garden model is part of the program "Application of digital technology to increase the value of agricultural assets" being piloted at the Krong Pac Clean Agricultural Service Cooperative. Accordingly, each durian tree will be identified as a digital "citizen ID" through the application of Blockchain to create a transparent and unalterable data system.
Mr. Mai Dinh Tho, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Krong Pac Clean Agricultural Service Cooperative, said that nearly 200 farming households of the cooperative are taking an important step in the national digital transformation program, which is to digitize and create a "résumé" for each durian tree in each household owner's garden.

Dak Lak has great agricultural potential, with over 800,000 hectares of agricultural land, leading the country in durian acreage with about 40,000 hectares and an output of over 400,000 tons. The durian industry in Dak Lak is making extremely important contributions to the country's export turnover and especially helping to improve the lives of farmers.
Currently, the 2025 durian harvest has ended, however, the value is uneven: there are gardens that sell for 70,000 - 80,000 VND/kg, but there are also gardens that have to sell at very low prices. In addition to objective reasons due to weather factors, the fragmented, small-scale production and lack of a common standard also make the quality of agricultural products uneven, leading to unstable prices. Along with that are increasingly strict requirements from export markets regarding traceability and chemical residues. All of this shows that building a transparent agriculture where farmers can confidently "sell the difference" of their products has become more urgent than ever.
As a commune with the largest durian area in the province, with 5,153 hectares and an estimated total output of up to 60,000 tons of fresh fruit in the 2025 crop year, Ea Knuec is promoting the close combination of "4 houses", along with the application of science and technology to create absolute transparency. Ms. Ngo Thi Minh Trinh, Secretary of the Party Committee of Ea Knuec commune, shared: Only by applying technology can we effectively manage and make agricultural products transparent, and this is the path that all farmers will have to follow to both standardize the process and build a reliable "profile" for their products, thereby creating a different value to confidently enter the big market.
According to Mr. Nguyen Hac Hien, Head of the Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection (Dak Lak Department of Agriculture and Environment), the application of digital technology is expected to bring multi-dimensional benefits to farmers, businesses and state management in the product supply chain and meet the strict standards of international markets. This is an important step forward to help key durian growing areas of Dak Lak province build and affirm their brands, towards sustainable agricultural development.
