On the morning of May 7th, Inspection and Supervision Team No. 11 of the Politburo and the Secretariat, led by National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, held a working session with the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Supreme People's Procuracy.

Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of the National Assembly stated that the Supreme People's Procuracy plays a quiet but very important role in creating a stable "ecosystem" for economic growth; contributing by ensuring the supremacy of law and protecting development resources.
The Chairman of the National Assembly affirmed that the Party and the State always acknowledge the merits and contributions of the People's Procuracy, from protecting the achievements of the revolution, maintaining political security, consolidating the people's government, ensuring social order and safety, preventing and combating crime, corruption, waste, and negative phenomena; to protecting justice, protecting human rights, citizens' rights, and the legitimate rights and interests of the State, organizations, and individuals.
The Chairman of the National Assembly requested the Party Committee of the Supreme People's Procuracy to continue effectively implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party, the 5-year socio-economic development plan for the period 2026-2030, and strive to achieve the two centenary goals. At the same time, he urged continued efforts in Party building and the development of a clean, strong, modern, and efficient three-level People's Procuracy system; promoting unity, responsibility, discipline, and integrity throughout the entire sector. He also emphasized the importance of building a team of procuracy officials with strong political convictions, deep expertise, impeccable ethics, strict discipline, and the courage to defend what is right and resolutely fight against what is wrong.
The Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized that in prosecutorial activities, it is necessary to ensure compliance with the law, identifying the right person and the right crime, preventing wrongful convictions, ensuring no criminals escape justice, and imposing strict penalties, while also ensuring humanity and compassion. In supervising judicial activities, it is essential to ensure that all investigation, prosecution, trial, and execution of judgments comply with the law; that judicial power is tightly controlled; and that crime, corruption, and negative practices are prevented and combated starting from law enforcement agencies.
The Chairman of the National Assembly requested strengthening digital transformation, applying science and technology, artificial intelligence, and modernizing the prosecution sector, aiming towards an electronic prosecution model, eliminating intermediate procedures, improving work efficiency, reducing manual file processing time, and increasing transparency in the performance of duties. The Chairman emphasized: "The application of technology helps the sector achieve three goals: accuracy (reducing subjective errors); transparency (easier inspection and supervision); and efficiency (saving time and manpower)." At the same time, he stressed the need to tighten inspection, supervision, and evaluation of officials, linking it to the results of task performance; and to improve inter-agency coordination mechanisms throughout the entire litigation process.
On the afternoon of May 7th, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Head of the Steering Committee for the comprehensive review of the system of legal normative documents, chaired a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee.
Speaking at the session, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized that this is a very important task, the first and largest comprehensive review to implement Conclusion 09 of the Politburo and the directives of General Secretary and President To Lam at the first session of the 16th National Assembly on perfecting the fundamental and synchronous structure of the legal system. According to the National Assembly Chairman, if not done seriously, it will not only waste resources but also miss opportunities for institutional reform, which is currently the "bottleneck of bottlenecks" for development. "This comprehensive review of the system of legal documents is not an ordinary administrative task, but a 'total institutional inventory,' a strategic preparation for national development in the new phase," the National Assembly Chairman stressed.
The Chairman of the National Assembly requested that the review be linked to development requirements, focusing on clarifying regulations that are hindering development, overlapping, contradictory, or no longer appropriate. Agencies should not only organize workshops and seminars, but also directly meet with citizens and businesses to listen to the difficulties and obstacles in law enforcement. During the review process, agencies must be objective, scientific, and open-minded, not avoiding issues; they should boldly propose amendments, additions, replacements, or repeal of regulations that are no longer appropriate, including those within their own jurisdiction or interests.
