Building the image of women in Bim Son town in the new era

Under the leadership of the City Party Committee, Party committees at all levels, authorities, Fatherland Front, departments, branches, unions, and women's associations at all levels in Bim Son town have always been proactive, creative, and innovative in terms of content and methods of operation, taking care of the practical interests of women. In particular, implementing the movement "Building a new-age Bim Son woman who is patriotic, compassionate, self-reliant, self-reliant, and aspirant to rise up", the association's activities and women's movements in the town have increasingly developed in terms of quality and quantity.

With specific and basic criteria such as: having knowledge, morality, health and responsibility for oneself, family, society and country, the movement to build Bim Son women of the new era is carried out in association with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; the campaign "Building a family of 5 no's and 3 clean's to contribute to fostering Vietnamese family values" and key tasks and activities of the association. On that basis, the Women's Union of the town has launched widely in all levels of the association and female cadres and members strive every day to spread a good deed, a beautiful story in life to commend, reward and create a positive effect...

With that approach, the movement has increasingly entered life and has many effective activities, creating trust, excitement, and widespread influence among women of all walks of life. Specifically, the Women's Union at all levels in the town have promoted mutual support activities to help each other develop the economy , reduce poverty sustainably, and contribute to enhancing women's empowerment. In particular, it focuses on supporting loans, practicing savings following Uncle Ho's example, donating breeding animals, establishing poverty reduction women's clubs, building collective economic models led by women, supporting women to innovate and start-up... Up to now, the whole town has 7 collective economic models led by women. In wards and communes, the movement to help members have conditions for production and overcome difficulties has been promoted through activities of supporting loans, donating breeding animals, livelihood models... In particular, the Ba Dinh Ward Women's Club for Poverty Reduction has connected with businesses and philanthropists to maintain the donation of 22 pairs of cows and 5 pairs of breeding sows to poor women...

Implementing the program of coordination with the Town People's Committee in implementing the movement "Bim Son women participate in maintaining environmental sanitation, building a civilized lifestyle in a green, clean and beautiful urban area, period 2021-2026", the town's women's associations at all levels have carried out many projects and tasks contributing to changing the appearance of civilized urban areas and new rural areas in the area. 7/7 wards and communes maintain at least 1 model of women participating in maintaining environmental sanitation, building green, clean and beautiful urban areas with many good and creative ways, building a livable countryside. The whole town has 58/58 cultural houses in neighborhoods and villages where women take care of the green space; 100% of wards and communes have successfully built models of "Clean house, beautiful garden", "Green fence", "Women's self-managed flower road", "Painting road", "Clean house, model garden"...

Implementing the criteria of "having kindness", "being responsible for oneself, family, society, and country", the Women's Union at all levels of the town always cares about taking care of practical benefits, solving problems for women; and carrying out humanitarian and charitable activities well. From 2021 to now, the organization at all levels has connected and supported the sponsorship of 111 disadvantaged orphans, of which 22 children are regularly supported with 500,000 to 700,000 VND/child per month; connected for 2 orphans to study for free at Hy Vong School, under FPT Group, Da Nang City under the "godmother" program; mobilized support to build 7 charity houses; raised funds from the program "From collecting scrap to millions of gifts" to give hundreds of gifts to women, orphans, children in difficult circumstances and significantly resolved waste to the environment...

Always put the role of women in the family, society and working environment closely linked to the overall development of the town. In particular, the explosion of the 4.0 scientific revolution, women must link union work with technology to keep up with the trend of the times, worthy of the new era women "with knowledge". Therefore, union officials at all levels in the town are trained to improve their knowledge and skills in all aspects, focusing on the application of information technology in effective union activities. This is one of the two breakthroughs in implementing the Resolution of the Women's Congress of the town, term 2021-2026. Thereby, helping women to be more flexible and responsive in their work; be vigilant, prevent and combat plots, peaceful evolution of hostile forces, maintain security and order at the grassroots level.

Another outstanding activity is the cultural, artistic and sports movement that has always been actively and widely responded to by women in the town, contributing to the implementation of the criterion of "having health" to serve and contribute. The whole town has established 47 folk dance and sports clubs, 52 sports models that regularly exchange and participate in competitions to win high prizes. Thereby, strengthening solidarity, creating motivation to compete and help each other in life. With many rich activities, the Women's Union at all levels of the town attracts 88% of members to participate in activities. In 2023, the Women's Union of the town was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister for its achievements in work from 2018 to 2022, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.

Comrade Chu Thi Thu, President of the Women's Union of Bim Son town, said: The results of the emulation movement to build women in Bim Son town in the new era are the driving force and basis for the unions at all levels to propose creative and flexible solutions in implementing the emulation movement in the following years, contributing actively to the successful implementation of the targets of the resolutions of the congresses of women delegates at all levels for the 2021-2026 term.
