Practice shows that, from correct policies to creative approaches suitable to local conditions, the movement to build a "bright - green - clean - beautiful" environment is spreading strongly, bringing about clear changes.
Actively respond
In Dai Lai commune, along with promoting production development, the locality pays special attention to environmental protection. The commune effectively implements a plan to classify and treat household waste using IMO microbiological technology, contributing to reducing household waste, limiting pollution and building a bright - green - clean - beautiful environmental landscape. Along with that, historical and cultural relics are being restored and embellished, both preserving traditional values and creating highlights in the countryside space.

The most noticeable thing in Dai Lai is the clear change in people's awareness. From waiting and relying, people have proactively participated in building new rural areas with specific actions such as: Maintaining the movement of planting trees, cleaning the environment, donating land for road construction, changing the structure of crops and livestock, boldly applying science and technology to cleaner production for sustainable economic development.
Along with Dai Lai, many other localities have also implemented models suitable to actual conditions. In Tan Chi commune, the "Civilized Trash Bin" model implemented by the Youth Union in coordination with the Women's Union has contributed to forming the habit of sorting waste at the source. In alleys and streets, union members guide people to sort organic and inorganic waste at the source. Although initially confused, thanks to persistent advocacy, waste sorting has now become a daily habit. This model contributes to reducing the amount of plastic waste released into the environment, forming a more civilized and responsible lifestyle towards the community.
Or in Nenh ward, with the participation of departments, branches, and organizations, in which the core force is women members, environmental sanitation work is deployed synchronously and methodically. From keeping each house clean, to sweeping village roads, clearing sewers, clearing grass along the roads, taking care of trees, collecting and gathering garbage in the right place to transport by specialized vehicles to the incinerator... The environmental sanitation movement every Sunday launched by the Women's Union has become a "festival" for women and local people. This activity not only contributes to cleaning the environment but also connects the community, forming green living habits, and being responsible for the common space.
Not stopping at regular tasks, many localities also focus on solving long-standing environmental problems. The People's Committee of Lang Giang commune has just signed a contract with Bac Ninh Xanh Joint Stock Company to collect, transport and treat all the remaining domestic waste at the Kim Son village landfill - a pollution hotspot that has existed for many years.
According to the plan, about 12,000 tons of waste will be collected and transported to Thang Long Energy Generation Solid Waste Treatment Plant (Phu Lang Commune) for treatment in accordance with regulations, ensuring environmental safety; striving to complete before January 31, 2026. The complete treatment of the remaining landfill not only frees up pollution hotspots but also demonstrates the locality's determination in implementing environmental criteria, creating a premise for the process of building a civilized and modern urban area.
Develop specific criteria
In many communes and wards such as Phat Tich, Nhan Thang, Lam Thao, Phu Lang, Yen Trung, Tam Da, Tan Dinh, Tien Luc, etc., the environmental protection movement has been implemented flexibly and creatively. Flower streets and murals promoting environmental protection and civilized lifestyles are appearing more and more, contributing to beautifying the landscape and spreading the message of green living to every citizen. Brightly colored paintings not only beautify the space but also spread the message of green living, contributing to changing the behavior of the community.
| In the movement to build a bright, green, clean and beautiful environment, localities have promoted the role of mass organizations. Typical examples include the Women's Union with the models "Women say no to plastic bags, disposable plastic products", "Family without waste", "Family with 5 no, 3 clean"; Farmers' Association with the model "Farmers with environmental protection work"; Youth Union organizes "Green people's market to reduce plastic waste"... |
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu of Hoai Thi village (Lien Bao commune) excitedly shared: “With the attention and investment from superiors, the infrastructure of the residential area is increasingly spacious and modern. We often remind our children and encourage people to keep the village green - clean - beautiful. Thanks to everyone's cooperation, Hoai Thi village has become a livable countryside with beautiful roads, open space, and fresh air.”
In recent years, localities in the province have synchronously implemented many solutions to build a sustainable living environment. The "Green Sunday" movement has been widely launched, becoming a tradition in many villages and residential groups, attracting 70-75% of households to elect representatives to participate. In localities, the image of people exercising together to improve their health, then cleaning the alleys, clearing sewers, collecting garbage in public places and on weekend mornings has become a beautiful feature that is maintained regularly. Environmental monitoring teams regularly check and remind households that have not performed well; the Green Sunday scoring criteria are applied to each village and residential group, serving as a basis for year-end emulation evaluation.
At the same time, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio -political organizations to widely deploy the campaign "Building a civilized urban and new rural lifestyle". Environmental protection criteria were included in the village and hamlet regulations, becoming an important condition in considering the recognition of the title of cultural family and cultural residential area.
In the movement to build a bright, green, clean and beautiful environment in new rural areas, a notable point is that localities have promoted the role of mass organizations. Many creative models continue to be replicated. Typical examples include: Women's Union with the models "Women say no to plastic bags, disposable plastic products", "Family without waste", "Family with 5 no, 3 clean"; Farmers' Association deploys the model "Farmers with environmental protection work"; Youth Union organizes "Green people's market to reduce plastic waste", collects old batteries, electronic waste, competes in making recycled products, draws propaganda pictures to protect the environment...
From specific and practical actions, environmental protection work in localities has gone into depth, gradually forming civilized habits and lifestyles, creating a solid foundation for the goal of building green - clean - beautiful - livable residential areas, contributing to the sustainable socio-economic development of the province in the new period.
