Vang Ngan is a village inhabited by the Dao ethnic minority. From a poor, remote village in the commune, Vang Ngan has now become one of the shining examples in the new rural development of Son Luong commune. For example: From 2006 to the present, the Party branch has led the expansion of the village's communal cinnamon forest area from 5 hectares to nearly 50 hectares, yielding hundreds of millions of dong annually to fund the village's new rural development, organize community activities, and improve the material and spiritual lives of the villagers; it has also propagated and mobilized people to contribute their efforts and resources to concrete thousands of meters of roads in the area; it has encouraged people to work together to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and support families affected by natural disasters to quickly stabilize their lives; and it has united to build a village free from drug addiction and social vices, maintaining security and order...

To gain the people's consensus, every month, before the leadership resolution meeting, the Vang Ngan village Party branch focuses on thoroughly understanding the practical situation of the village and the thoughts and aspirations of the people.
