The accident occurred on National Highway 5, in the section passing through Phu Thai commune, Hai Phong city.

On the afternoon of December 7th, a tractor-trailer with license plate 29RM - 010.05 carrying timber unexpectedly broke down while traveling on National Highway 5 through Phu Thai commune, Hai Phong city.

The front of the trailer collapsed onto the road, severely deformed. The wood on the trailer spilled out, covering almost the entire road and making it impossible for vehicles to pass.

Immediately afterwards, traffic heading from Hanoi to Hai Phong came to a standstill, creating a long queue. The large amount of timber blocking the road meant that clearing it took a long time.

Authorities quickly arrived to direct traffic, secure the scene, and coordinate the removal of the damaged vehicle. Specialized equipment was also deployed to collect the scattered timber in order to restore traffic flow.
