On June 26, the Traffic Police Department of Phu Yen Province announced that the driver of the passenger bus accident that crashed into a house had died, and the three passengers on the bus had been discharged from the hospital.

According to the Traffic Police Department of Phu Yen Province, the above accident occurred on the evening of June 25, at the intersection between National Highway 1 and Road No. 2, in Chi Duc Quarter, Chi Thanh Town, Tuy An District (Phu Yen).
Accordingly, the passenger bus with license plate 75B-013.23, driven by driver Vo Trong D. (39 years old, from Thua Thien - Hue ), was traveling north - south, with 25 passengers on board. When arriving at the above location, the driver suddenly braked, the passenger bus changed direction from National Highway 1 to Road No. 2 and crashed into the house of Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong (48 years old, from Chi Duc quarter, Chi Thanh town, Tuy An district). As a result, the driver was trapped in the cabin of the bus, some passengers were injured and panicked.
Immediately after receiving the information, the Traffic Police force coordinated with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Phu Yen Province Police to arrive at the scene to regulate traffic, support the driver trapped in the cabin and some injured passengers to the Tuy An District Medical Center for emergency treatment. Afterwards, driver D. was transferred to Phu Yen Provincial General Hospital for emergency treatment, but died on the morning of June 26.
The accident damaged Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong's house. Fortunately, no one in the house was injured. Authorities are currently examining the scene and investigating the cause of the accident.
