At the Hanoi MIP Fair 2025, Thai Hung Corp launched the GIO Tano 250 - a mini electric truck concept developed at the Thai Hung electromechanical factory in Hung Yen. Oriented as a smart transportation solution, the GIO Tano 250 targets customers such as small businesses, handicraft establishments, farmers and eco -tourism areas. The vehicle is compact in size and easy to operate in residential areas, wholesale markets or factories – places that are difficult for traditional trucks to access. Thai Hung hopes that the product will contribute to reducing transportation costs, increasing production efficiency and promoting the transition to clean energy in the domestic logistics sector.
GIO Tano 250 has dimensions of 2,400 x 1,000 x 1,650 mm, wheelbase of 1,800 mm, ground clearance of 150 mm, electric motor of 1.2 kW, maximum torque of 40 Nm, meeting QCVN 119/2024 TT-BGTVT standards. The vehicle uses a 48V-50Ah lithium battery, maximum speed of 12 km/h, travel range of 70 km, has anti-slip braking function and expected selling price from 35 million VND. According to Mr. Pham Trung Hung, Head of Product Development Department of Thai Hung Corp, Tano 250 was born from the actual needs of Vietnamese people. The vehicle is equipped with an automatic magnetic brake system, which automatically brakes when the speed is below 2 km/h and accelerates immediately when the driver operates, helping to operate safely and save energy. In the design stage, the engineering team led by Mr. Le Vu directly surveyed users, ensuring that the product meets ergonomic standards for Vietnamese body shape, from the seat, steering wheel to the lighting system. The open frame structure allows customization of the vehicle body design according to each operating environment.
A representative of Thai Hung Corp said that GIO is proactive in the entire process from design, research, testing to mass production. The products are developed based on actual needs, meet Vietnamese inspection standards QCVN 119/2024 and strictly comply with international standards on safety and environment. The three core elements of GIO's philosophy are announced as Graceful, Intelligent and Optimal. They define the style for the entire product line. GIO is developed in three main product groups: Golf Series: including Go Easy (compact 2-seater car), Go Joy (4-6-seater car for golf courses and resorts) and Go Smart (self-driving golf car following the player, integrated with AI). Industrial Series: focuses on vehicles serving industrial parks and inner areas, such as Go Patrol (security patrol), Go Food (mobile service), Tano 250 (mini electric truck) and Go Clean (environmental sanitation). Outrider Series: aims at outdoor experiences with Go Venture (large-wheeled off-road vehicle) and Go Rider (6-8 seater camping vehicle).
Thanks to its diverse product range, GIO can meet the needs of transportation, service and tourism in closed spaces, smart cities or eco-resorts, market segments that are receiving strong investment in Vietnam. According to a representative of Thai Hung Corp, GIO's long-term goal is not only to serve the domestic market but also to export to Southeast Asian countries.
