On the evening of December 6, the Happy Vietnam 2025 Human Rights Media Awards Ceremony took place in Hanoi , within the framework of the Vietnam Happy Fest 2025.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) in coordination with the Hanoi People's Committee, Vietnam Television and the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.

Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh said that after 3 years of organization, the award has gone beyond the framework of a traditional photo and video contest, becoming a national award, attracting nearly 40,000 entries. Many excellent works have been widely exhibited at home and abroad.
This year, after more than 4 months of launching, the Organizing Committee received about 17,000 photo and video works, nearly double compared to 2024. The jury selected 36 winning works, along with 150 typical photos and 29 videos to display at the exhibition.
In the photo category, the first prize went to the work Vietnam - The Rising Era by author Pham Ngoc Long Thien. The first prize in the video category went to the work Happy Smiles by author Luu Minh Khuong.

Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh emphasized that each work is a true slice of life, recording beautiful moments of the country's transformation, creating a vivid picture of a happy, civilized, rich in identity and strongly rising Vietnam.
“What is special is that the authors come from different professions, ages, regions and ethnicities. They use different equipment, from professional to simple.
But they all have one thing in common, which is a passionate love, a heart for the Fatherland and a desire to convey the image of a peaceful, beautiful, dynamic and happy Vietnam to the world," Mr. Binh shared.

Author Pham Ngoc Long Thien shared that the work Vietnam - The Rising Era was taken on the evening of April 28, during a series of events celebrating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification.
He said: “The atmosphere at Bach Dang wharf that day was bustling and brilliant. I took the photo at that moment, a Ho Chi Minh City was happy, alive, and proud. For me, that is "Happy Vietnam", the happiness of being part of the flow of history and preserving it through a frame".
Vietnam Happy Fest at Hoan Kiem Lake walking street (Hanoi) from December 5 to December 7, includes 13 diverse activities such as Vietnam Happy exhibition, digital interactive space, art exhibition areas, happy trees and happiness maps....
