In the process of implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, especially Resolution 80-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the development of Vietnamese culture, the Vietnam Circus Federation must play a proactive role to make positive contributions to the industrialization process of the country's culture.

This was the statement made by Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung at the ceremony commemorating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Circus Federation (January 16, 1956 - January 16, 2026) held on January 16 in Hanoi.

Minister Nguyen Van Hung affirmed that throughout its development, the circus industry has always received the attention and leadership of the Party and the State, as well as the affection of the public. Thanks to this, Vietnamese circus has not only preserved its national identity but has also gradually integrated deeply with international circus art.

Affirming that circus is a unique form of artistic labor, Minister Nguyen Van Hung stated that the contributions of circus artists have helped bring glory to the country.

Mr. Hung expressed his hope that the leadership, artists, and performers of the Vietnam Circus Federation would continue to uphold the tradition of unity and strive even harder to fulfill the tasks expected by the Party, the State, and the people.

The Director of the Vietnam Circus Federation, People's Artist Tong Toan Thang, affirmed: "Throughout 70 years of formation and development, under the attention of the Party, the State, and the close guidance of the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, generations of leaders, artists, officials, and workers of the Vietnam Circus Federation have continuously created and built a circus art form rich in national identity, imbued with humanistic values, and gradually approaching the spirit of modernity."

Many circus performances and shows have left a deep impression on the public and won high awards at national and international art competitions and festivals, from Asia and Europe to many other regions. These achievements contribute to affirming the position of Vietnamese circus on the world art map.

In particular, the State's awarding of 8 People's Artist titles and 35 Meritorious Artist titles is a well-deserved recognition of the efforts, talent, and dedication of many generations of circus artists.

Entering a new phase of development, the Vietnam Circus Federation has set the goal of strongly innovating creative thinking, applying advanced performance technology, and creating circus works of large scale and stature that are deeply rooted in Vietnamese cultural identity.

The organization focuses on expanding international cooperation, training and developing human resources, caring for the lives of artists, attracting young successors, building a professional performance environment, and aiming for sustainable development.
