On November 1, Bach Mai Hospital organized the 2nd Scientific Conference on Dermatology and Burns with the participation of domestic and foreign experts and scientists. This is an opportunity to exchange and update new advances in the treatment of skin diseases, burns, skin regeneration and aesthetics.

The focus of this conference is to affirm and promote the key role of dermatology and burns in a leading special-class general hospital.

In just the first 9 months of 2025, the Department of Dermatology and Burns has performed 3,624 inpatient consultations and 5,671 outpatient visits transferred from other specialties. This not only helps in early diagnosis, complication management, and wound care, but also contributes to shortening the length of hospital stay and improving the overall treatment efficiency of the entire hospital. This is an important "link" in perfecting the comprehensive treatment-recovery-regeneration model.

This conference is designed with two plenary sessions and 10 concurrent sessions, including many in-depth contents, such as: multidisciplinary care (reports on the treatment of skin damage caused by radiation therapy, the role of Botulinum Toxin in post-stroke rehabilitation, management of diabetic patients has highlighted the intersection between Dermatology-Burns with other specialties); Skin cancer (comprehensive updates from targeted therapy, immunology to reconstructive surgery); combination regimens of BRAF/MEK inhibitors, immune checkpoint inhibitors and T-cell therapy open a new era in the treatment of late-stage melanoma....

Notably, there are many reports on the application of artificial intelligence in the diagnosis of skin diseases, trichoscopy, and modern microbiological and molecular biological testing methods (such as next-generation gene sequencing) ... are revolutionizing the accuracy and speed of diagnosis. In addition, there are multimodal approaches, optimizing the effectiveness and aesthetics in the treatment of scars, skin aging and pigmentation diseases.
