On February 13th, a delegation from the Hanoi City Federation of Labor, led by Mr. Nguyen Huy Khanh - Vice Chairman of the Hanoi City Federation of Labor, visited and presented gifts to 400 workers at Meiko Vietnam Co., Ltd. and Yamaha Motor Vietnam Co., Ltd.

Reporting to the delegation, Mr. Igi Yasuhiro, Finance Director of Meiko Vietnam Co., Ltd., stated that the company currently employs over 6,400 staff and workers, with an average salary of 13.7 million VND per person per month. In addition to focusing on maintaining stable production, applying science and technology, and digital transformation to improve productivity and product quality, the company also pays special attention to the well-being of its employees.

During the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, Meiko awarded approximately 2.29 months' salary as bonuses and distributed Tet gifts to 100% of its employees. The company also actively collaborated with local authorities to ensure social welfare and support disadvantaged people in the area.

At Yamaha Motor Vietnam Co., Ltd., Mr. Hasimoto Muneki, Deputy General Director, expressed his deep gratitude for the timely attention from the Hanoi Trade Union. With the motto "Harmony and Happiness," the company recognizes that employees are at the center of its development, because when employees are secure, committed, and happy, the company will have a solid foundation for sustainable growth.

This Lunar New Year, each employee received an average bonus equivalent to two months' salary, along with 5 million VND in gifts. In 2026, the company will continue to invest in improving working conditions, ensuring stable employment and income, and creating opportunities for career development for its employees.

Speaking at the event, Comrade Nguyen Huy Khanh, Vice Chairman of the City's Labor Union, expressed his delight at the positive production and business results of the two enterprises. He highly appreciated the efforts of the staff and workers in continuously improving productivity and product quality, contributing to the overall growth of the city.

Comrade Nguyen Huy Khanh acknowledged that the two enterprises are leading units in applying science and technology and digital transformation; especially in caring for workers, particularly those in difficult circumstances. On the occasion of the New Year, the Vice Chairman of the City's Labor Union wished the enterprises continued sustainable development, ensuring jobs, income, and welfare for their employees; and wished the workers a safe and joyful Tet holiday, with 100% of the workforce returning to work after the break.

"Trade unions and all levels and sectors always pay attention to the lives, jobs, wages, and bonuses of workers; mobilizing resources to ensure that all union members and workers have a happy Tet holiday," Comrade Nguyen Huy Khanh emphasized, while also requesting that grassroots trade unions continue to understand the thoughts and aspirations of workers, and promptly report and propose support from higher levels when necessary.

At each enterprise, Comrade Nguyen Huy Khanh presented 200 gift packages to workers, each package consisting of 1 million VND in cash and a gift bag worth 300,000 VND. The gifts were handed directly to the workers amidst enthusiastic applause and trusting glances.

Holding the thoughtful gift in her hands, Ms. Hoang Thi Hoa, a worker from Bac Ninh province who has been with Yamaha Motor Vietnam Co., Ltd. for 18 years, couldn't hide her emotion. She said: "My family has four people; my husband is a freelance worker, and we have two young children who are still in school. We also have to rent a place to live, so life is still quite difficult. The gift from the trade union is very meaningful. I will take some back to my hometown to give to my parents. We feel very warmhearted to receive the care and attention from the Hanoi city leadership and the trade union.”

Ms. Hoang Thi Hoa's joy is also the shared joy of hundreds of workers in the days leading up to the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Horse. Amidst the hustle and bustle of year-end work, the presence of the Trade Union organization is a great source of moral support and a reliable pillar for the workers.

The leaders of both businesses affirmed that the attention from the Hanoi City Federation of Labor Unions is a great source of encouragement for the staff and workers to continue to unite, innovate, and achieve the goals of the new year. Through improving production and business efficiency, the businesses are committed to fulfilling all obligations to the state budget, actively participating in social welfare activities, and working alongside the local government in socio -economic development.

The visits and heartfelt gifts during the days leading up to the Lunar New Year contributed to a warm and meaningful spring season. In these events, the Trade Union organization continued to affirm its pioneering role in caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers; ensuring that each member feels that they always have an organization to support and share with them.
