'Spring on the Border' spreads love to Loc Thanh commune in the border region.

(Dong Nai) - On February 8th, in Loc Thanh commune, Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union, in coordination with the Provincial Youth Activities Center and other partner units, organized the "Spring on the Border" program to present gifts to young people on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026 (Year of the Horse).

The program included many practical activities such as cultural and artistic performances; health consultations and free distribution of medicine to the people. At the same time, the organizing committee also implemented activities to provide Tet (Lunar New Year) support for disadvantaged children and teenagers in the commune.

With a total social welfare budget of 150 million VND, the program awarded 10 scholarships and 30 gifts to disadvantaged children; completed the "Borderland Light" project; and presented gifts and lucky money to students in kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools, and youth union members in Loc Thanh commune. These gifts contributed to improving the material and spiritual lives of people and children in the border region, thereby promoting the national traditions of "mutual support" and "remembering the source of the water we drink."

Speaking at the program, Mr. Phan The Cong, Deputy Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union, said: “Through the program's activities, the Organizing Committee hopes that the people and youth in the border region will receive the attention and support of all levels, sectors, and the Youth Union and Children's Union organizations. This will contribute to ensuring that the people, youth union members, and children celebrate the Lunar New Year 2026 in a warm, joyful, and meaningful atmosphere.”
