Becamex TP.HCM pulled off a surprise victory at home by scoring an early opening goal. The match ended in a 1-1 draw. This result leaves Nam Định temporarily in 6th place after 20 rounds with 28 points, while Becamex TP.HCM is in 11th place with 20 points, unable to create a safe distance from the bottom of the table.
In the other match played at the same time, PVF-CAND lost to Thanh Hoa with a score of 0-1. Coach Tran Tien Dai's team remains in the relegation zone, sitting second to last in the standings with 13 points, only one point ahead of Da Nang, who are at the bottom of the table.
