Xuan Son promises to score many goals on his return to Nam Dinh.

Striker Nguyen Xuan Son hopes to score many goals for Nam Dinh FC in their match against Long An in the Round of 16 of the 2025/26 National Cup.

After returning to the Vietnamese national team and scoring in the 2-0 victory against Laos in the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup, striker Xuan Son is also set to make his comeback in the colors of Thep Xanh Nam Dinh, in the round of 16 of the National Cup.

Before the match, the 28-year-old striker was very excited, saying: "I feel great to be back with the team. I want to score as many goals as possible and win as many games as possible. That's the most important thing and also what I want."

Xuan Son affirmed his readiness to play and help the team overcome this difficult period: "I will do my best to help the team win. The match between Nam Dinh Green Steel and Long An in the Round of 16 of the National Cup also marks the debut of new head coach Mauro Jeronimo. The Portuguese strategist may bring Xuan Son onto the field from the bench.

Confident of victory, the organizers at Thien Truong Stadium decided to open many stands free of charge to both home and away fans. The stands at Thien Truong Stadium are expected to be full on the day Xuan Son makes his comeback after nearly a year of recovering from injury.
