To ensure that disadvantaged children receive adequate and timely support during Tet (Lunar New Year), the Provincial Youth Union annually directs its branches to regularly and effectively organize volunteer programs such as: Spring Volunteer Program, Winter Volunteer Program, For Our Beloved Children Program, Wishes for Children Program, etc.; proactively develop plans for visits and gift-giving appropriate to the practical situation of each locality and unit; and actively mobilize the support of organizations, businesses, and philanthropists to raise additional resources. Based on this, many practical and effective care activities have been implemented. Along with material support, the Youth Union branches also focus on meticulously preparing activities to celebrate Tet and care for the spiritual well-being of their members, young people, and children. Tet gifts, scholarships, and timely attention and encouragement have contributed to spreading the spirit of compassion and responsibility of the Youth Union in caring for, protecting, and supporting disadvantaged children.

Promoting the role of youth organizations in supporting disadvantaged children and teenagers, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union, in coordination with the Southern Thai Binh Business Association, organized the "Helping Children Go to School" program, donating 500 bicycles and 6 scholarships totaling approximately 1 billion VND to students in difficult circumstances. The program contributes to supporting and encouraging students to overcome difficulties and excel in their studies, while also spreading the spirit of sharing and community responsibility in caring for the younger generation. These meaningful gifts, delivered directly to the students, brought joy and warmth to them during the Lunar New Year. Receiving a meaningful gift from the program, Le Van Phu, a 9th-grade student from Minh Khai Primary and Secondary School in Hung Ha commune, expressed: "This is a very practical gift, making it easier for me to get to school and giving me more motivation to study and train better." I am very grateful to all the aunts, uncles, brothers, and sisters who have always cared for, encouraged, and created opportunities for us to continue nurturing our dream of going to school.
In December 2025, the Youth Union of Phung Cong commune, in coordination with the local government and partner organizations, organized a program to visit and present gifts to disadvantaged students and families in Than Uyen commune, Lai Chau province. During the program, the delegation presented 65 gift packages to students at preschool and primary schools and disadvantaged families, and provided 60 million VND to support the construction of a house for Ms. Giang Thi Lang, a poor family with particularly difficult circumstances in Huoi Ham village. Mr. Phi Van Hien, Secretary of the Phung Cong Commune Youth Union, stated: "Through this program, the youth of Phung Cong hope to convey the affection and sharing spirit of the Youth Union members to the students and families facing many difficulties; and at the same time contribute to fostering compassion, a sense of responsibility, and a desire to contribute to the community in each Youth Union member."

To effectively mobilize social resources to care for disadvantaged children and teenagers, in recent years, youth union branches at all levels have focused on implementing the "three linkages" policy in youth volunteer activities, effectively linking forces, geographical areas, and communities. Social welfare activities have been implemented synchronously, practically, and in accordance with the practical conditions of each locality and unit. From 2022 to the present, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Union of the province have coordinated with organizations, associations, businesses, and philanthropists to support and assist more than 10,700 disadvantaged children with a total budget of over 5 billion VND; awarding more than 20,000 scholarships, 80 bicycles, and 116 savings accounts to encourage and support poor students to excel in their studies. Support was provided for the construction and repair of 76 "Red Scarf" houses, helping many families and children stabilize their lives and focus on their studies and training; 65 "Playgrounds for Children" projects were built and repaired, and many youth projects such as green libraries for children, children's bookcases, digital classrooms for children were donated... thereby contributing to creating a healthy learning and playing environment, improving the material and spiritual quality of life for young people in the province.
Comrade Thieu Minh Quynh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Yen province and Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, said: In the coming time, the Youth Union at all levels will continue to proactively and actively build up the fund through various forms such as: calling for the support of philanthropists and businesses; promoting the sense of responsibility and contributions of cadres and union members at the grassroots level; organizing activities and undertaking practical projects to raise funds for support; maintaining visits, encouragement, and timely support for disadvantaged children and teenagers, helping them to gradually improve in their studies and lives... The Tet gifts, scholarships, and meaningful projects given not only contribute to sharing immediate difficulties but also spread the spirit of compassion and responsibility of Hung Yen youth towards the future generation, giving them more confidence and motivation to welcome a new spring that is warm, joyful, and full of hope.
