According to the Vinh Long Province Hydrometeorological Station, at 1:00 p.m. on December 9, the center of the low pressure area was at about 8.0-9.0 degrees North latitude; 114.0-115.0 degrees East longitude. It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, the low pressure area will move in a West-Southwest direction, at a speed of about 20km/hour.

Due to the influence of low pressure circulation combined with cold air, the southern East Sea area has strong winds of level 5, gusting to level 7. The sea area of the southwest East Sea (including the sea area west of Truong Sa archipelago), the sea area from Khanh Hoa to Ca Mau and the northern East Sea area (including Hoang Sa archipelago) has strong northeast winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8-9; waves 2-4m high; thunderstorms with strong gusts. The sea is rough.
Vessels operating in the area must take proactive precautions to ensure safety. The risk level of natural disasters at sea is determined at level 2.
In Vinh Long, in the next 24 hours, the weather will be cloudy; cold at night and early morning, sometimes weak sunshine during the day, showers and thunderstorms in the evening, at night and early morning. Rain will be concentrated on December 10-11, especially in areas near the sea; there is a possibility of moderate rain.
