Agricultural, forestry and fishery export turnover reached over 53 billion USD, the whole industry's trade surplus reached over 11 billion USD (the highest level in recent years and accounting for over 42.5% of the country's trade surplus).
Agriculture continues to affirm its important position as a pillar of the economy , firmly ensuring food security, major economic balances and contributing to macroeconomic stability (rice output reaches 43.4 million tons, up 1.7% compared to 2022, meat output of all kinds reaches 7.6 million tons, up 3.5%; aquatic product output 9.3 million tons, up 2.9%).
