November 2025 recorded a clear improvement in Ha Tinh 's goods export activities. The province's total goods export turnover reached about 151.8 million USD, an increase of 32.46% compared to October 2025.
Most of the key commodity groups in November had positive growth compared to the previous month such as: steel and steel billet increased by 23.07%, fibers of all kinds increased by 33.93%, wood chips increased by 9.59%, tea increased by 21.57%, textiles increased by 11.11%. These results show the proactiveness of state management agencies in removing difficulties and the efforts of enterprises in adapting to the market, seeking orders and promoting trade.

However, in the first 11 months of 2025, the province's export turnover is still lower than expected: about 1.76 billion USD, down 19.82% over the same period in 2024.
The industry explained the reason for the decline in export turnover as the steel and steel billet group (accounting for more than 62.9% of total export turnover) continued to be strongly affected by trade defense measures of many countries, especially the US, making it difficult to find markets. Meanwhile, although items such as fibers, textiles, etc. grew strongly, their proportion only accounted for about 4.94% of the total export value structure, so their contribution to the total turnover of the whole province was limited.
However, since November, there has been a positive signal when Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corporation has recorded a new growth rate after many months of decline. Formosa Ha Tinh's steel and steel billet export turnover in November 2025 reached about 95.5 million USD, an increase of 23.07% compared to October 2025.
In the last month of the year, Formosa Ha Tinh is taking full advantage of new generation free trade agreements to reduce dependence on the US market - where tariffs fluctuate strongly. In addition, the company focuses on expanding markets in countries with stable relationships such as Italy, the UK, Russia, India, etc. to increase export output.

Not only steel, but also businesses in the fiber, textile, wood chip, tea, etc. sectors are all focusing on completing year-end orders and looking for new contracts for 2026.
At Ha Tinh Garment Factory 10 (Vung Ang Economic Zone), the production atmosphere is very urgent. The enterprise specializing in sewing shirts for export in 2025 is affected by the US tariff adjustment, with export output to the US decreasing from 40% to 15%.
Mr. Dang Viet Thuc - Director of Ha Tinh Garment Factory 10 informed: "Flexibly responding to tariff barriers, we proactively expand the market to Japan and European countries. At the same time, the enterprise recruits more workers to rush for year-end orders, aiming for an export turnover of more than 2.1 million USD. To have enough resources for production, the unit has just proposed banks to increase the credit limit."

Currently, the province's key fiber exporting enterprises such as Vinatex Hong Linh Joint Stock Company, Nghe Tinh Fiber Joint Stock Company (Nam Hong Industrial Park)... are also promoting production activities. Along with enhancing digital transformation, applying technology to production, improving product quality, enterprises are coordinating to promote trade, seeking new partners to increase export products in many countries.
Implementing Directive 29/CT-TTg dated September 23, 2025 of the Prime Minister on promoting exports and developing foreign markets, Ha Tinh is synchronously implementing many key solutions. As the main actor, the Department of Industry and Trade focuses on reviewing and removing difficulties for export enterprises; providing information, forecasting international markets and consumption trends; promoting trade promotion, connecting trade; supporting access to year-end credit and handling certificates of origin (C/O) documents quickly and in accordance with regulations.

Mr. Vo Ta Nghia - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade said: "According to forecasts, Ha Tinh's export turnover in 2025 will reach about 2 billion USD, equivalent to 80% of the plan. Although the target has not been reached, the recovery momentum in the last months of the year is expected to create stronger growth momentum in 2026. The Department of Industry and Trade will continue to accompany the business community in the "sprint" stage, supporting access to new markets; helping businesses improve their competitiveness and meet the technical requirements and standards of "demanding" markets.
Along with short-term solutions, the province is preparing long-term strategic directions. The Department of Industry and Trade will advise the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Provincial Party Standing Committee a conclusion on continuing to implement Resolution 11-NQ/TU (May 26, 2022) to promote exports associated with logistics service development in the 2026-2030 period. At the same time, review administrative procedures and related conditions to promptly advise on solutions to promote trade and logistics development in the 2026-2030 period, creating a more favorable legal corridor for import-export enterprises.
In the context of the world economy still facing many uncertainties, Ha Tinh still shows great determination in promoting exports. From the positive recovery signals at the end of the year and the proactiveness of enterprises, along with the support efforts of the government, the province hopes to create a solid foundation for export growth in 2026.
