Import and export in 11 months approaching 840 billion USD mark

Vietnam's import and export of goods after 11 months reached nearly 840 billion USD, the highest level ever, continuing to maintain a trade surplus of more than 20 billion USD.

According to the report of the General Statistics Office ( Ministry of Finance ), the total import-export turnover in November reached nearly 77.1 billion USD, down 5.4% compared to the previous month but up 15.6% over the same period in 2023. Of which, export turnover decreased by 7.1%, while import decreased by 3.7%.

In the first 11 months, total turnover reached 839.7 billion USD, up 17.2% and for the first time exceeded the 800 billion USD mark. Exports reached about 430.1 billion USD, up 16.1%; imports reached 409.6 billion USD, up 18.4%. The trade balance continued to have a surplus of more than 20.5 billion USD.
