Besides the three normal deliveries, the hospital recorded one cesarean section on New Year's Eve. The mother was Ms. Le Thi Tu Uyen (31 years old), a midwife working in the Obstetrics Department of Tu Du Hospital. The surgery was performed by Dr. Tran Ngoc Hai, Director of the hospital.
"This is my second child. Although I've witnessed many births, welcoming my own baby on New Year's Eve still makes me happy and emotional," said Ms. Uyen.
Ms. Uyen plans to name her child Le Minh Khanh Van, hoping that her child will always be cheerful and gentle like the clouds in the sky.

Mr. Le Minh Phat, Ms. Uyen's husband, said that their first child is 9 years old. "Each child has their own unique characteristics, but Khanh Van is more sacred because she was born right on New Year's Eve. We only wish for her to be safe and healthy," he said.
According to Dr. Tran Ngoc Hai, the moment of welcoming babies at the beginning of the year always holds special meaning for the medical team. "Welcoming a healthy baby into the world is a great joy," Dr. Hai shared.

According to Dr. Hai, behind the joy of the families are hundreds of medical staff who are still diligently performing their duties. The on-call teams coordinate seamlessly, closely monitoring the condition of the mothers, and promptly handling any arising situations, ensuring that the highest goal is always achieved: a healthy mother and a healthy baby. For them, the moment of transition into the new year not only marks a sacred moment of Tet (Lunar New Year), but also opens the journey of life for their first babies, carrying hope and peace for the new year.
