Plastic factory in Quang Ngai caught fire at night, causing billions of dong in damage

On the morning of July 19, information from the People's Committee of Mo Cay commune, Quang Ngai province said that a fire had just occurred at a household's plastic factory, causing great property damage.

Initial information, at around 8pm on July 18, a large fire suddenly broke out at a plastic factory in Dam Thuy Nam village, Mo Cay commune, creating a column of smoke tens of meters high. The fire quickly engulfed the entire factory area.

Immediately after discovering the fire, people called the authorities. Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police of Quang Ngai Province dispatched many specialized fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire.

However, because the factory contained many flammable materials and plastics, it was difficult to put out the fire. After many hours of effort, the fire brigade was able to control and extinguish the fire.

The fire did not cause any human casualties, but initial estimates indicate that it caused significant property damage, amounting to billions of dong. Authorities are continuing to investigate and determine the cause of the fire and estimate the specific damage caused by the fire.
