The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training requires high schools to resolutely not keep motorbikes, and parents not to give motorbikes to underage students.
Mr. Duong Tri Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said that recently, through coordination with the City Police to organize inspections at schools, the results showed that there were still a few units violating regulations on keeping students' vehicles when they were underage or did not have a motorbike driving license. Therefore, the Department of Education and Training requested that schools continue to implement the documents that have been deployed to ensure order and traffic safety for students.
Specifically, the school coordinates with local police to disseminate information to students on the Road Traffic Law, strengthen the work of ensuring order and traffic safety for students in the new situation; require households keeping vehicles around the school to commit not to take care of or keep motorbikes over 50cm3 of students who are not of age or do not have a motorbike driving license.
The Department of Education and Training requested that school principals be responsible for directing increased inspections of the school's vehicle parking department, and resolutely not keep motorbikes of students who are underage or do not have a driver's license. The principal will be fully responsible if the unit is found to be keeping large motorbikes for students who are underage or have not been granted a motorbike driving license.
At the same time, the leaders of the Department of Education and Training also requested that educational institutions, when receiving information from the police in writing about students violating traffic laws, are responsible for inviting the parents of the students to work and clearly reporting the violations. Parents are required to coordinate in managing and educating students, and to make a commitment not to let students drive when they are not old enough or do not have a driver's license according to regulations. In addition, students make a commitment not to drive motorbikes over 50cm3 when they are not old enough or do not have a driver's license and commit to wearing helmets when participating in traffic by bicycle, electric bicycle, electric motorbike, motorbike to school. The school has measures to handle students in an educational manner, in accordance with the regulations of the unit.
Particularly for schools that use car transportation services for students, Mr. Duong Tri Dung suggested that they must choose a reputable and quality transportation service provider, strictly implement regulations on technical requirements, transportation procedures, and ensure safety for students; be responsible for training drivers and student managers to follow safety procedures. Absolutely do not allow unsafe vehicles to participate in transporting students.
