On September 9, the Department of Culture and Society , Phu My Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, said it had inspected, verified, and requested Quang Trung Primary School in the ward to remove many moral paintings about cause and effect posted on the school's walls.
According to the leader of the Department of Culture and Society, Phu My ward, the removal of the above paintings was not in accordance with legal regulations, specifically Article 20 of the 2019 Education Law.
The Department's leaders commented that the content was about moral education, but it was not suitable to be hung in schools.
"The painting was removed yesterday," the department head said.
That same morning, the Department worked with the school's Board of Directors to hear an explanation and request correction of this issue.
Previously, in many locations such as in front of the entrances of some classrooms, the hallways of the grade levels, and outside the school's Board of Directors area, many moral paintings about the law of cause and effect were hung.
