Patriotic Emulation Congress - The Inspirational Flame of the Times

The 5th National Emulation Congress of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the theme "Building a Vietnamese Diplomatic Service that is courageous, disciplined, modern, and professional; promoting the pioneering, important, and regular role of foreign affairs and international integration, for the cause of building and defending the Fatherland". This year's Congress takes place in the context of the country entering a new stage of development - the stage of the aspiration for "a strong, prosperous, and happy Vietnam" as in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.

The entire diplomatic sector is striving to innovate and create, affirming the pioneering role of "comprehensive, modern diplomacy" in maintaining a peaceful environment, mobilizing resources, and enhancing the country's position.

The Congress is not only an occasion to summarize, honor and promote advanced models, but also an opportunity for each cadre and youth union member to spread the spirit of "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation", continuing to build a comprehensive, modern, professional, civilized and humane Diplomacy, in accordance with the direction of General Secretary To Lam on building a brave and modern Vietnamese Diplomacy in the new era.

For the youth of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this is a special occasion to look back at the tireless efforts over the past time - and to remind us that: emulation is not just a slogan, but a concrete action, a motivation for each young person to train themselves, rise up and contribute.

Patriotic emulation spirit among young diplomats – from heart to action

Over the years, the emulation movement in the Youth Union of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has become a cultural beauty of the youth in the Diplomatic sector - quiet but persistent, creative but effective.

In each unit and representative agency, young people have constantly researched, innovated, dared to think, dared to do and dared to take responsibility.

The movements "Youth Month for the Community", "Youth Diplomacy for Creativity - Integration - Dedication", "Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign", or "Digital Diplomacy - Youth for Innovation" have left a deep impression, spreading the spirit of initiative, creativity and humanity of young cadres of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

From the application of digital technology in administrative and foreign affairs work, to the development of communication products that spread the image of a modern and friendly Vietnam; from initiatives to connect international youth, spread messages of peace and cooperation, to community projects and volunteer activities towards localities and remote areas. All reflect the unique spirit of patriotic emulation of Diplomatic youth: Quiet, persistent, responsible and creative.

Many young officials of the Ministry have been recognized for their substantial initiatives: Converting work processes to digital platforms; improving reports and data; building foreign communication campaigns using artificial intelligence; or organizing international dialogue forums chaired by youth. Every achievement, no matter how small, contributes to creating the image of the "5T Diplomatic Youth" generation - Intelligence, Responsibility, Dedication, Confidence and Pioneering.

The patriotic emulation movement is also expressed through simple things: an example of diligence in scientific research, a young person persistently translating hundreds of pages of difficult documents, an official willing to accept a distant assignment, beyond time and time zones to serve the common work. Emulation, sometimes, is each person doing their job better today than yesterday.

Looking to the future, awakening the desire to contribute of young Diplomats

In the digital age, when the world changes every day, the patriotic emulation movement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' youth needs to be fueled with new energy - more modern, more creative, but still keeping the core spirit: Devoting oneself to serving the Fatherland and the people.

In the coming time, the Youth Union of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs aims to continue to innovate the emulation movement in four key directions:

Firstly , building a model of "young diplomatic staff in the digital age": Good at expertise, strong political will, proficient in foreign languages, technology and global communication skills.

Second , encourage initiatives and innovative ideas in all areas of work, from policy research, bilateral and multilateral work, to communications and protocol; so that each small initiative can create a big impact.

Third , develop a creative space for the Diplomatic Youth, where young groups can share, experiment and implement innovative projects linked to real-life work.

Fourth , promote the work of praising and replicating advanced models, spreading beautiful stories, and inspiring the patriotic emulation spirit of young cadres.

We hope that the patriotic emulation movement in the Youth Union will not only stop at slogans, but will become a "movement of action, creativity and spreading values", contributing to building the Vietnamese Diplomatic sector to become increasingly professional, modern, effective and humane.

"Competition is patriotism" - the teaching of President Ho Chi Minh still holds true today. In the diplomatic environment, competition is not about comparing who wins or loses, but about the efforts of each person in studying, working, and in each small task that contributes to creating great success.

Today's Diplomatic Youth proudly inherits the tradition of "Loyalty - Dedication - Creativity - Compassion" of previous generations, while also carrying within them a new aspiration: to bring Vietnamese intelligence and mettle to the world.

We believe that, with the spirit of solidarity, dedication and responsibility, the youth of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to be the pioneering flame in the patriotic emulation movement of the entire sector - a generation that dares to think, dares to do, dares to innovate, and dares to shoulder the mission of building the image of Vietnam in the new era.
