The 3rd Economic and Urban Newspaper Golf Tournament 2024 opened at Tan Son Nhat Golf Course (No. 6, Tan Son Street, Ward 12, Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City) on the morning of September 30th.

The 3rd Economic and Urban Newspaper Golf Tournament in 2024 attracted 144 golfers, with a grand prize of a Hole In One - a Vinfast VF9 car worth up to 1.5 billion VND, along with other prizes and gifts for all participating golfers totaling over 5.2 billion VND.

Golfers compete in four divisions: A, B, C, and Women's, using an 18-hole individual stroke play format. Male golfers are divided into three divisions: Division A (HDC 0-18); Division B (HDC 19-28); Division C (HDC >28); while the Women's division has an HDC of 0-36.

The 3rd Economic and Urban Newspaper Golf Tournament is even more meaningful as it is part of the activities celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).

With the scale of a sporting event combined with activities commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024) and celebrating Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day, the 3rd Economic and Urban Newspaper Golf Tournament continues to receive the participation and support of businesses, sponsors, entrepreneurs, golfers, etc.

In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Loi - Editor-in-Chief of the Economic and Urban Newspaper - expressed his sincere gratitude to the businesses, sponsors, and golfers who have always accompanied the Economic and Urban Newspaper Golf Tournament over the past three years.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Loi - Editor-in-Chief of the Economic and Urban Newspaper, delivered the opening remarks.

“Building on the success of the 2022 and 2023 seasons, the Economic and Urban Newspaper is once again organizing the 3rd Economic and Urban Newspaper Golf Tournament in 2024. Besides wanting to create a beneficial sporting event for our valued readers, we also aim to establish long-term partnerships with businesses, so that we can work together and achieve sustainable development. In the future, the Economic and Urban Newspaper Golf Tournament will continue to be a valuable platform and a place for us to connect, share, and spread positive values,” emphasized the Editor-in-Chief of the Economic and Urban Newspaper.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the golfers officially competed to find the winner of each category, who would be the golfer with the lowest NET score at the end of the tournament.

The golfers entered the tournament with the highest level of sportsmanship and determination.

The Economic and Urban Newspaper Golf Tournament is envisioned as an annual event of the Economic and Urban Newspaper, creating a sporting arena with a spirit of fair play, while also serving as a bridge to spread acts of kindness through meaningful community activities.
