Before joining the management work, Professor Quang spent a lot of time on medical examination and treatment with a specialized field of cancer surgery.

As a treating physician, he always tries to apply new, advanced techniques to improve the quality of treatment for patients. A typical example is the technique of endoscopic thyroidectomy through the mouth.

“This technique brings maximum benefits to patients undergoing thyroid surgery such as achieving the best aesthetic results (absolutely no surgical scars), safety, effectiveness, and short hospital stay” - Professor Le Van Quang shared.

More notably, this technique has been internationally recognized and to date, Professor Le Van Quang has had 20 in-depth articles on oral thyroid surgery published in prestigious international journals. In addition, he was also invited to report on this technique at the 2023 World Head and Neck Conference held in Rome, Italy.

He has successfully guided 5 PhDs, 5 Level II Specialists, 15 resident doctors... He has edited and compiled 11 textbooks and monographs in the field of cancer, including 2 monographs on thyroid cancer and oral cancer, helping to train university and postgraduate students to provide enough quality human resources for the cancer prevention network in Vietnam. He is also the head of 1 State-level project, 1 State-level branch project that has been accepted; nearly 200 scientific articles, including 45 prestigious international publications.
