TikTok, Instagram, Google Photos, Spotify, and Google Maps are popular Android apps, but they can cause your phone to lag if not properly managed.

Android phones often slow down after a period of use, not only due to hardware issues but also because of resource-intensive apps running in the background. TikTok is a resource-intensive app because it constantly pre-loads high-resolution videos , causing the CPU and RAM to work continuously.
Instagram also puts pressure on the system by pre-loading images and videos and maintaining push notifications, causing the screen to light up multiple times. Google Photos noticeably slows down your device when automatic backups are enabled, constantly uploading photos and videos to the cloud in the background.
Spotify uses caching for smoother music playback, but when storage is nearly full, the device is prone to lag and poor multitasking performance. Google Maps consumes GPS, network data, and battery power when navigating, causing performance to degrade if it runs in the background for extended periods. These applications have in common that they need to run in the background, so completely disabling them is not feasible, but access can be restricted by controlling permissions.
Users can switch to the Lite version or an alternative app to reduce the load on the device, helping it run more smoothly. Readers are invited to watch the following video: Experts warn of serious vulnerability on iPhone, millions of devices at risk of attack.
