The line of people coming to receive vegetables was long, people waded through muddy roads, their hands still covered in mud after cleaning their houses, yet everyone cherished each bunch of vegetables, carefully selected each bunch of cabbage as if they were choosing hope to start over after days of fighting the flood. Many people shared that thanks to the zero-dong vegetable stall, they had reduced the burden of spending during this difficult period, especially when all the vegetables in the garden were flooded and completely damaged. Mrs. Truong Thi Xiem (Quang Thanh village, Dien Lac commune) was moved: "My house was deeply flooded, everything was damaged. For the past few days, we have been eating and drinking makeshift food. Today, receiving clean vegetables, I was so happy I wanted to cry. Only in difficult times can we see how precious human love is."

The atmosphere at the zero-dong vegetable stall in Dien Lam commune is equally warm. The signs "Zero-dong vegetable stall" are neatly hung in front of the vegetable distribution area for people to easily recognize. Vegetables are divided by type, neat and clean. Mr. Bui Huu Quoc (Xuan Dong village, Dien Lam commune) said: "While green vegetables are scarce in the market and prices have increased due to flooding, receiving free vegetables like this is very precious, each bunch of vegetables is a heart".

Helping people overcome difficulties

In the wards of North Nha Trang and West Nha Trang, the zero-dong vegetable stalls coordinated by the Provincial Youth Union were also bustling. Dozens of young people in green shirts sorted each bunch of vegetables, divided them into plastic bags and handed them out to the people. Those who came to receive support included old people with canes, mothers holding small children, and people who had just finished cleaning their houses. Everyone was happier when receiving bundles of lush green vegetables, bags of carrots, and plump squash - things that were once ordinary but in this situation were very precious.

It is known that on November 26, the program transported 14 tons of various green vegetables to serve people in communes and wards: Dien Lam, Dien Khanh, Dien Lac, Dien Dien, Tay Nha Trang, Bac Nha Trang with all kinds of vegetables, such as: water spinach, green cabbage, jute, spinach, potatoes, tomatoes... Mr. Huynh Huu Phuc - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union said: "We want to provide timely support to people in the period of rebuilding their lives. After the flood, vegetables in the garden were almost damaged, the supply was scarce. Therefore, supporting safe and stable green vegetables is very necessary, contributing to reducing the immediate difficulties for people. The program will continue to be implemented in the coming days to support people".

The zero-dong vegetable stalls are not only a place to provide vegetables, but also a place to share and contribute to connecting the community after natural disasters. The timely participation of the Fatherland Front, the Provincial Youth Union, social organizations and volunteers has affirmed the accompanying role of the political system in supporting people to stabilize their lives after natural disasters.
