An Giang launches emulation campaign to build expressways.

On December 3rd, the Office of the People's Committee of An Giang province announced that Mr. Ho Van Mung, Chairman of the People's Committee of the province, had signed and issued a plan to implement a high-intensity emulation campaign to complete the construction of the expressway.

The purpose of this is to raise awareness, responsibility, and action among all levels, sectors, and society as a whole in implementing the goals, tasks, and solutions for developing transportation infrastructure.

Contractors are busy constructing the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway section passing through An Giang province.

Currently, in An Giang province, relevant units are implementing the construction of phase 1 of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway. Specifically, component project 1 in An Giang province, with a length of 57.2km, is being developed with a 4-lane design and a design speed of 100km/h. Upon completion, the project will be expanded to 6 lanes.

Accordingly, the emulation contents aim at creative work, timely completion, exceeding targets, and ensuring the quality of highway projects in districts, towns, and cities, as directed by the Provincial Steering Committee for Important Projects.

Workers are striving to complete their assigned workload as required.

Ensuring quality, technical standards, aesthetics, environmental hygiene, occupational safety, and creating a landscaped development space for the project after completion; coordinating with relevant sectors to resolve difficulties and obstacles related to construction materials and land clearance.

The intensive emulation campaign will be implemented from August 2024, with a preliminary review in December 2024 and a final review at the end of 2025.
